Hi! I am a teaches a course in C# for beginners.

I suspect that some student have got a project from the internet claiming that they made it themselves.

How can I check who is the original owner of the project? I checked the assemby-info that said something about Hewlett-packard but not sure if that is the answer.

It is a pong basketball-game.

The assembly also says "2dGameLanguage".

Hey this will be very hard to prove because he could have created an new project and copied all the files across thus making it impossible to prove if he actually wrote the code. You could question him on parts of his code, what it actually does and im sure it won't be long before he admits he didn't write it.

You could also ask specific questions to such students, e.g.: "could you explain me how did you handle ball collision"?
After all, if they plagiarized then they wouldn't be able to answer your questions.

Very good advice, If someone has created a (small learning) project, he for sure has come across all sorts of problems. With some little questions I think it's easy to find out if someone just copied it...
