If you want to work with larger files, all versions of Visual Studio Express have a wonderful text editor that can load and process them.

What file system? FAT-12? FAT-16? FAT-32? NTFS? Something else?

Solution 1

Notepad is an application, essentially it can load very large files (more than 1 mb files).

The real limitation is the number of lines in the text file, I have loaded 1.2 million lines (58Mb) text files in notepad.
