I am using RDLC reports for developing reports in my project
but when I am inserting sub report in that report. It is not allowing me to design that report remaining in that parent report.
Now I am getting sub report from a report which i have created in some folder and i am giving that report name inside sub report.
Can anyone help me to design sub report inside a report so that I will not have to create an extra reports for sub reports

YES DEAR

1 solution

please follow below steps

1. Create Report 1 , this is your main report.
2. Create Report 2 , this will act as subreport.
3. Now open report 1 and from toolbox drag the subreport control to this main report.
4. Then Right click on the subreport control and configure it to Point to the Report 2.
5. Configure the Parameter For subreport , if you have to pass any paramter.

Thanku for ur post habib
but i dont want this thing. I am already creating a separate report and pointing that report as a sub report .
What I need is the subreport which donot have any physical existence or we do not have to create it seperately
I think we can do this in Crystal Reports
