Hi..

I am working on my project today when i open my project in visual studio 2010 that time my code file {.cs} was opened a nd system was restartaed. then when i again open my vs and i see that code fill it was null all code was lose.

now when i open that file it's opening in notepad. and i didn't find my code


so can anyone help me is it possible to retrive my all code.

Not unless you keep backups, use source control, or it is inside the recycle bin.
The chances are that the copy was being written when the restart occurred. There is a possiblity that it is in
C:\Users{Username}\AppData\Local\Temporary Projects
But the chances are it has been cleaned already.
Sorry! Time to learn rules 1 through 4 of computing:
1) Save often
2) Backup often
3) Save oftener than that
4) Did I mention saving and backups? Now would be a good time to do both...

:)Yes, I used to type for hours before saving when I started too... And I learnt the hard way! I also learnt that "autosave" is a feature that should be enabled in every application that supports it... :laugh: Except Samna AmiPro, where it would crash the app and destroy the original *and* the new versions one time in ten...
