Do you have any idea what you are asking for? The .NET Framework is made up of over 40,000 types (apparently, for V3.5 40513), each of which has from three to hundreds of properties, methods, and events. Each property, method and event has a whole page devoted to it in MSDN.

So, you want us to describe this to you, in a single text box?

Somehow, I don't think it will fit.

Get a book, follow it. And then get another one, on a different part. And another, and another, and another. Then you can move to Linq, and WCF, and WPF, and...

Ha-ha, a 5. I was thinking about writing a quick code showing how many assemblies, public types and methods are involved in typical projects and the whole .NET (as it is presented in GAC), still hesitating about the step traversing the whole GAC is it is available via undocumented API...

I wanted to do it for the sole purpose of answering such questions. Maybe some day later...

anyways.

.NET is hugh bunch of softwares that run on microsoft windows, includes a large library and supports several programming languages that allows you allow you to create, design and develope your own software
