phpmyadmin ho to change the default username and password

Hi everybody

am using phpmyadmin and i found a default username which is root and a default password , and i would like to know how to change the username and password and put my prefered username and Password.. but dont know how to do , if anybody out there could assist me i would be verymuch appreciated ..

Solution 1

You need to change the values for the $cfg['Servers'][$i]['user'] and $cfg['Servers'][$i]['passwd'] in phpMyAdmin's config file
