Hi all,

a) How to cast a shadow of an object on another object?
And similarly, How to reflect a light from one object to another object?

b) How to manage lights and its powers in scene simply?
(I know "ZAM 3D" is useful for this job, but where can I download its freeware?)

Thanks in advance.

Since no one's answered you in 5 days, I'd say that your question is too specialized for this forum. None of the regulars here who answer questions are WPF-3D experts. So I would recommend that you ask here:

http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/wpf/threads[^]

That forum is frequented by several WPF gurus as well as members of the WPF team at Microsoft.

Sorry, I have an another micro question that where can I download ZAM 3D in freeware?
Nish Nishant 29-Oct-11 17:29pm
If you mean this -> http://www.erain.com/products/zam3d/DefaultPDC.asp

It's a commercial lib, not free. They may have a trial available though - so you may want to check with them directly.
Here is a couple of examples by Petzold:
Let There Be Shadows[^]
Let There Be Shadows (Part II)[^]

You may find the WPF3D Team Blog[^] to be of some interest.

The XAML Exporter for Blender[^] allows you to export to xaml from blender[^] - there are limitations on it's abilities to deal with lights and shadow, among other things, but if what you want is reasonably simple, it will do.

While it's possible to do a lot of 3d stuff in xaml - XNA[^] offers a more efficient programming model.

Thanks Espen Harlinn, I visited "Let There Be Shadows" and "Let There Be Shadows (Part II)", but them are very theoretical, I want a simple and quick solution for this job:)
I also want "ZAM 3D" in freeware, it has specialty in 3D to XAML.

You can download a Zam 3d trial from here: http://www.erain.com/Downloads/Trials/
I'm afraid it isn't freeware, but the trial may be all you need.
