Once you start the process, it is running. You can check the StartTime property to see since when the process is running. Be more precise. What are you trying to achieve?!?!

Time is never needed. If you have time, you have a handle of valid running process. The solution is in System.Diagnostics.Process, but we don't know what OP needs.

You are right. But meanwhile I was trying to decipher the question, I posted a wrong link. Only now I see that I had a wrong link on clipboard, this one has nothing to do with this question! My bad! It had to do with another question on whom I answered earlier.

Please, no offense: you references not a very good work on single-instance application -- tied with System.Windows.Forms while the implemented functionality does not need it. I did not vote. OP's question is not correct, of course; he is not explaining what he wants even on your request.

Sorry, I see no way to give you more detailed advice as you still did not explain your problem. First look at the class and code samples: chances are, you can understand it all by yourself.
