please help to solve this issue.
how to remove burn feature of cd rom so that user can't
write on cd/dvd's of rw type........
is it possible through c# or tell me if any ohter
language is more suitable.....

CD-ROM and CD-RW are mutually exclusive types. What exactly do you want?

Solution 1

It is always possible to erase cd/dvd of RW type. It is like formatting an hard drive... what you put on the disk, doesn't matter.

If you don't want your disk to be erased, then uses regular disk. The cost much less and are more reliable and also typically much faster to create.

The question is unclear as CD-ROM and CD-RW are mutually exclusive types.

If this is CD-ROM you can prevent write by writing the content and closing the session. If you don't close the session, someone can read some more.

If this is CD-RW, anyone can re-write it from scratch.
