Hello everybody,

i hope i am right here.

Does anyone know about SVN Bridge?
Or better yet, has anyone dealt with it?

I recently got a TFS (Team Foundation Server) from my IT.
With Visual Studio, I can easily manage my projects with Team Explorer.

I also have other projects from a PLC development environment
and projects from a PowerBuilder development environment.
These cannot be managed via Visual Studio.

I once read something about the SVN Bridge. Since it should be possible projects on
File Explorer level (Turtoise SVN) to connect to the TFS.

I just don't understand what to install where.
I already know the Tourtoise SVN Client. I have had that in touch for years
used with an SVN server.

Questions:
Is SVN Bridge an application that needs to be installed on the Team Foundation Server?
Is the SVN Bridge equivalent to the functionality of the SVN server.
Which application do I have to download and where to install.

Please only reports on processes that are already in operation and working.

Many Thanks!
Greetings from CopWorker

What I have tried:

I tried to find a download for the application (SVN Bridge).

I am still using Tortoise SVN for VS and PLC projects too and works like charm, but I use it in its "pure" configuration with a SVN Server, not a Team Foundation Server... yet. But it might come in a near future, so I am interested too in your question. I hope you get good answers.

Hello,
It's nice to learn that this concern also affects other software developers.
I stay tuned.
Please take part in this chat if you find out what.

Thank you so much!

Hello,

now I´ve found the install routine of the "TortoiseSVN.msi" and the executable file "SvnBridge.exe".

What´s the matter with both applications? How does they work together?
Do I have to include the "SvnBridge.exe" in TortoiseSVN somehow?

With the Tortoise Repository Browser I can only access the SVN server and not TFS.
And with the application "SvnBridge.exe" I can only start a dialog in which I can enter a port.
I currently have no idea how I should link SvnBridge.exe to the Tortoise Repository Browser.

Thanks for help.
