Hi I have installed SQL Server Data Tools, with VS 2017, now it is not showing up in the Services section, not in the VS project Templates and not in the Start menu. Its very embarrassing why is it not happening, any help would be greatly helpful - thanks in advance.

What I have tried:

Googling and trying to find out the ways but nothing helps so far

1 solution

I found the following ssis - Is it possible to install SQL Server Data Tools in Visual Studio 2017 Community?[^] (despite the SSIS in the title it is actually referring to SSDT)

It suggests that a complete reinstall of Visual Studio would be the solution.

Another link suggests installing it whilst off-line How to install Sql Server Data Tools (SSDT) 2017 Offline (Internal Network installation) - Microsoft Tech Community - 334020[^]

There is so little information in your post we will struggle to help you further - try this google search[^] for more
