Suvendu, I want to convert float to Byte in Device Description language which is a very simple language and does not poses any inbuilt method to do so. So, my approach was to built this logic first in C# and then try to convert it to Device Description language.

Thank you ppolymorphe. Based on the above comments which others have said it is not possible, how does the hibernate mode work on windows? It totally shut downs your keyboard mouse hard disk and almost most of the component unless the power button is hit again. I don't know what exactly does hibernate mode does, I mean does it really shut downs the power to those component from motherboard or it might tell those component to go sleep. In that case why does OS is not preventing it from doing it?

Apologies for the delay Karthik. My project follows client server architecture. I will be getting the XML from the server based on the function which I call. There are 5 different XML scheme which server sends which needed to be displayed in the client. Creating data structure for each scheme and de-serializing those XML and applying appropriate scheme would be lot of work. Hence, I came with an idea to bind the data directly to the datagrid from XML. The solution which you have provided is what I have already tried. Only problem with that solution is static DataGridTextColumn which I don't want as I the scheme of XML is decided at the run-time. Any help would be appreciated.

My question is how can I pass a all contents of datatable/dataset/datagrid to a particular section in Crystal Report? I want to achieve this as I am developing marks card for my college where I am passing subjectcode,test1,test2 and sum to my report with either datatable/dataset/datagrid and I am passing respective Name and USN individually to the same report.

Still same problem. I am getting "Data Added Successfully" message and also when I click on view in the same instance of run(i.e without re-running the project), I am able to view the entries. But when i go to the datatable to view my entries manually, it is blank. Please help.

I am developing a result sheet for my college, where student is asked to enter their reg num(USN) and it has to pull out the result for that reg num. So I am fetching USN,Name and Father Name into one datatable and CC,Sem and Marks into second datatable and joining those data as I have stated in my main question and lastly displaying the content of the final data in a gridview.

I tried merging the two datatables which result was as follows:

Thanks a lot for the help Arkadeep. But I am too dumb to figure it out as I am new to this. I have attached a screen shot of my output. The USN field gets automatically shrink and extends depending on the data which I am populating from db. But with the name field it is not happening the same and I am not able to align the subject properly under 6 colspan of GridView. Can you please let me know how to fix the 1st column in the gridview to the 1st field in the table and so on for the name and when it comes to subject it has to fix the 6 column for one subject and it has to shrink and extend based on the data I am populating from db.

Thanks for your reply Arkadeep. I got it. Even I have those 6 fields fixed as subject in your case. Can you please tell me how to set the range of column in colspan? As you can see the image, 1st 2 column are for Name and USN. So I have to specify the range of column like from column 3 to col 7. How can I do that?

Sir, firstly I would like to thank you for your speedy response. I am sorry as the issue I had written was not in a correct format which led you to misunderstand my issue. I will try my level best to make you understand. The 2 checkboxlist, one for Name and other for Roll_number. I am populating data for these checkboxlist from database and I have no problem doing that. So now there are 2 checkboxlists, so if I check the 1st name from the 1st checkboxlist(checkboxlistname) then the corresponding rollnumber from the 2nd checkboxlist(checkboxlistroll) has to check and vice-versa i.e. If I check the 1st name from 1st checkboxlist then the 1st roll_number has to be checked from the 2nd checkboxlist.
