In assign: the variable 'ch' in not yet set. You need to first set it before you can do any checks on it.

Are you sure? Where does c get its value from? It is then uninitialized (probably containing garbage) If I'm not mistaken you're doing a check to see whether c==3 but c is not initialized anywhere not set anywhere to contain a value... If you can show show me where you've initialized or set c I'll agree with you.

Sound intresting, I had a read about it.

What I ment by pet project was mearly something to work on at home. Anything really. I just need a couple of ideas. Something someone else worked on which they found they learnt alot of skills with, or whatever. Just ideas, I can formulate the rest.

This piece of code is prone to having bugs....
incrementing q will cause array out of bounds exception when q = 400 if buffer size contains 401 elements.
Loop is also way to complex... Its better to use functions that devides the program up into simpler segments. Its a testing nightmare.

I would say the chances are slim that it reveals the truth. I wouldn't go as far as to say that it is impossible to reveal the truth through means of voting.

So the chance that voting would reveal truth 100% would be directly dependant on the number of variables. The more variables, the smaller chance. The number of variables for a vote is impossible to determine (human behavior can't be determined). Thus I will say that the aswer to that question is not mathematically determinable.

lol (c), voting revealing the truth, not always but the majority of the time yes. I suppose it depends on alot of variables. E.g. What country you're living in and the resources available to the people living there. Example, Poll was done on the internet in South Africa whether Presedent Jacob Zuma should fire Malama from the ANC or keep him on. 99% of the people who voted on the internet said yes. 1% of the people said no. If you were to have a goverment election the figueres would look much better for Malema. More like 49% over 51% because of resources availability. The truth here would be, do South Africans feel that Malema is useless and dumb, or do they think he is intelligent and adequate. On the internet it would reflect that he is useless and dumb and in general election not. This was an example and none of these things I've discussed did actually happen which I'm aware of so don't quote me on anything.

So it does infact exist, but this case is special in that the steps are infact not logical and therefor not possible because 1.9 + 0.1 = 2.0 and not 1.10 as what was needed.

If my initial value equals 1.1, the value of X should be 1.2 in the first iteration of the loop. The second iteration X should equal 1.3 and so on, up until 1.9999999... But like I said, it will not work and I require to perform some string manipulation for when X Mod 10 = 0. More clear I can't make it.

My problem was solved thanks to all... Eventually realised that it was not one of the things I thought but instead the path to where I was checking out the cvs data, being to long that caused a cvs error.

Thanks for the advice, I've decided on going the TortoiseSVN route. I've worked with CVS for a couple of years and want to learn something new... I think SVN route would be good as it is by far the more popular it seems.

I've been told that you can define a section area at a specific location in the linker directive file and then attach a variable that section (something in that line in any case)... just need to have a look how to implement it though. My problem I have is that I'm testing some software written for a powerpc micro processor... I use GCC to speed up the process whereafter I use Green Hills MULTI (powerpc) to run my completed test. Some tests takes only 30 seconds to run in GCC whereas in GHS can take up to an hour. The software at times writes/reads to/from specific memory addresses which is linked to hardware components. I need to define these addresses for GCC to prevent memory violations.

What error are you getting?
One error that I picked up is "ListBox1.Items.Count - 1" should be "ListBox1.Items.Count" as you're using a '<' operator.

I just tried to read a .cer file and had no trouble doing so, it obviously read a bunch of senceless giberish. But if that is what you wanted, you shouldn't have any trouble with this function.
