This isn't a question, be more precise in what you want to do. And try to figure it out yourself. It's called cheating when somebody else makes your homework.

Your question is very fuzzy. Describe in a better way what exactly you want to do. In ASP.NET you only can give some values to another page with Session variables or through URL query parameters.

I totally agree with you... very hard to understand what he wants.

Where is your database logic? You need to do an update query somewhere.

Don't post your question twice. This will not speed up anything!!

Please be more specific in your problems and what you are trying to do. The way you describe it now it is very hard to figure out what you exactly want to do.

Well.. you first need to figure out what kind of application originally used the .DSN extension since there are more then one --> http://filext.com/file-extension/DSN
Otherwise it is impossible to figure out how to open it.

If you can save the asp.panel to a file you can use a tool like wkHTMLtoPDF. Just search for it on Google.

He said the DGV is not bound to any datasource so that is probably not the problem.
For the rest I agree with you... show use some code.

Almost sounds to me that he want to have some kind of bulletin board like phpBB

Just use the C# code solution then. Everything you need is in there.

::For company X
ren *_655 *_%date:~6,2%%date:~3,2%%date:~9,4%
::For company Y
ren *_233 *_%date:~6,2%%date:~3,2%%date:~9,4%
Something like this if you go the batchfile route.

With a very simple batch file you can do something like this.
::The way the next line is used depends on the date format that is used
ren *_* *_%date:~6,2%%date:~3,2%%date:~9,4%

I never heard of console C sharp. Are you writing a console application in C#? Still a little bit unclear what you are doing

What were you not able to hard-code and in which program language do you want to solve your problem? You are not clear in that in your question. I assume that you want to rename for example the HD_654 file to HD01102014 when we take today's date.

What do you want to show in this first row? You could for example make a dummy datasource put some fake data in there and bind that one to the gridview. This way it will show you one row.
It would be better to just say there is no data to display.

Hi,
When I answered this question there was no code example present. That is why I pointed him to a possible solution with the Word 2003 extension pack
