I don't understand your question ...
Please check the language data which is entered in the listbox (maybe they read from the database in Chinese)

Maybe you're doing something like this:
mylistbbox.AddString ((LPCTSTR) "Hello world");
and it print out some random chinese characters.
So, if you have a Unicode build. Use the _T macro for string literals : mylistbbox.AddString(_T("Hello world"));

I think it will be useful for you to read following post:

Sometimes, users ask a question about video and audio trimming and then search the utilities that can do this. But what about programmatic implementation of this task? This article will show how it appears from the programmer's position :

Hi Member 9796765249!
A login dialog box is an object that is presented to a user to be authenticated in order to have access to a file, to a file, to a web page, to a web site, or to an application, etc.
To implement the possibility of login, you should first decide how the list of credentials would be created or maintained. You can create a scenario in which the user would enter a username and a password before clicking a button to validate the values in database . If the user cannot be authenticated, you may present an option to send an email for a new account to be created. You can also allow the user to create a new account to update the list.
Simple example you can look here:
"Login Dialog Box"
http://www.functionx.com/visualc/applications/login.htm

Alex

Hi J.Surjith Kumar!
Transcoding is the conversion of a digital media file, such as a video or audio file, from one format to another. This is usually done by decoding and then re-encoding the file. For example, you might convert a Windows Media file to MP4 so that it can be played on a portable device that supports MP4 format. Or, you might convert a high-definition video file to a lower resolution. In that case, the re-encoded file might use the same codec as the original file, but it would have a different encoding profile.
This quickstart uses the FileOpenPicker class to open a video file from the system. Then it uses the MediaTranscoder class to transcode the video file. Finally, it uses the FileSavePicker class to save the newly encoded file.
A code sample that shows the complete sequence of calls you can find here:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/hh868172.aspx
I hope this could help you

Regards,
Alex.

Hi Aslam!
The idea of wrapper classes is generally to mimic structure, but simply hide complexity/advanced/unwanted functionality.

In principle, private and protected members of a class cannot be accessed from outside the same class in which they are declared. However, this rule does not affect friends.
Friends are functions or classes declared with the friend keyword.
If we want to declare an external function as friend of a class, thus allowing this function to have access to the private and protected members of this class, we do it by declaring a prototype of this external function within the class, and preceding it with the keyword friend:

class A;

class B {
int width, height;

void foo (A a);
};

class A {
private:
int x;

friend class B;
};

void B::foo (A a) {
width = a.x;
height = a.x;
}

When an error occurs, most system functions return an error code, usually 0, NULL, or –1. Many system functions also set an additional error code called the last-error code. This error code is maintained separately for each running thread; an error in one thread does not overwrite the last-error code in another thread.

An application can retrieve the last-error code by using the GetLastError function; the error code may tell more about what actually occurred to make the function fail.

So, after following row : hWnd = CreateWindow(....);
you can add something like:
printf("hWnd = %.8x; GetLastError=%d\n", hWnd, GetLastError());

For more information, see WinError.h and System Error Codes.

Alex

Try this:
The compiler looks for each symbol being used in the current translation unit is previously declared or not in the current unit. It is just a matter of style providing all method signatures at the beginning of a source file while definitions are provided later. The significant use of it is when you use a pointer to a class as member variable of another class.

class testStruct;
typedef struct myStruct
{

testStruct * m;
};

So, use forward-declarations in classes when ever possible. If your program just has functions( with ho header files), then providing prototypes at the beginning is just a matter of style. This would be anyhow the case had if the header file was present in a normal program with header that has only functions.

About "Forward declaration" read here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forward_declaration

If you want to detect when a tab/window is geting closed. You can do it ,for example on Javascript ,i.e. to detect that kind of stuff are onunload and onbeforeunload events.

Here :

you can see a simple example....

Response.Redirect sends HTTP code 302 down to the users browser along with the new URL location of the wanted page.
HTTP Code 302 actually means ' The requested resource resides temporarily under a different URI'.After browser receives this code it tries to open the new location of the resource that was suggested by the server.This actually causes two requests to the server, first one to the original URL, and second to the new URL that is suggested via 302 response.All the Query Strings and Form variables are lost during the redirect and they are not available to the redirected URL.

Also its important to say that the new URL can reside on the same server but also it can be on some other server and the redirected URL does not need to be .aspx page it can be regular HTML page also).So we can us the Redirect method to redirect users request to another page on our server like this:
Response.Redirect("newPage.html");
or to redirect our it to some other server like this:
Response.Redirect("http://www.someotherserver.com/newPage.aspx");

In contrast to all this when we call Server.Transfer we do not initiate another request to the server, but the original request is simply rewritten and transfered to some other page on the same server.
(This off course means that we can use it only to transfer requests to the pages on the same server, not to some other servers and we can only transfer to .aspx pages and not other page types like HTML, php etc).

All posted Form variables and query strings can optionally remain available to the second Page where we transfered request (if we use second overload Server.Transfer(string path, bool preserveForm) and supply true for the second parameter).
Otherwise the Form Variables and Query String are cleared just like when we use Redirect.
WARNING: If you use this method to preserve Query String and Form variables and receive error: "View State Is Invalid" its because your EnableViewStateMac attribute of the <pages> element is set to true. More on this error on this page: PRB: "View State Is Invalid" Error Message When You Use Server.Transfer

Its also important to note that because of the way Server.Transfer works, after the transfer, the URL shown in the users Web Browser remains the original one that was requested, because browser has no knowledge that its request was transfered (transfer occurs on the server side).

TIP: One thing to be careful about when using the Server.Transfer is to clear the the HttpResponse object with Response.Clear method on the transfered page to avoid any output from the first page to be shown on the second page.

So now that we know what are the similarities and differences between these two approaches we can try to use them wisely.

For more information, please see following post:
http://www.aspdotnetfaq.com/Faq/what-is-the-difference-between-server-transfer-and-response-redirect-methods.aspx

Anyway Ian A Davidson , my answer is correct, but unfortunately you're just don't understand it well enough.
Don't forget asked question: "How can I find the week number of a given date"...
Therefore, if we want to calculate how many weeks have passed since the New Year, then user just should to do following things:
time_t date1 = dateToTimeT(1,1,2013);
time_t date2 = dateToTimeT(<today's date>); //given date...
In addition, I believe that my answer in general is more understandable for users

Alex.

There are different solutions for one same problem....
I think that the questioner can choose the most appropriate answer for him
Volynsky Alex 15-May-13 1:55am View

Why?
It is necessary to specify the distance between the two dates, for example, between:
1/1/2010 and 22/2/2010, calculate the number of days between them, and then divide the result by 7 ....
