What can I say?
What a great answer and so many things to poke around at over the weekend.
I will see how I get on, and if I run into any serious trouble I will contact you for some directions.
Thanks very much.

Sergey, sorry.
VB.Net would be best, or at least some script like php.
What I need is to take images copied manually from the web and stored in a local folder.
I then need to upload the whole folder to a webspace attached to a webstore.
When I upload the products using a CSV file I want to include the path to the folder.
This seems easy: I have named each of the images after the product code of the item, so I can have a set path and just concatenate in the name of the image.
Or so I thought!
The store uses several instances of the same image in different sizes.
When you upload an image manually it does all this for you, but with 30,000 products this would take months to manually input.
So I need a way for "FOR EACH image IN folder, ..." and it needs to have 6 versions, each with a suffix appended to a common name, and each of them to be set to different sizes.
Well beyond the capabilities of a mere accountant with limited programming skills.

So MINIMUM of 2 lower case, MINIMUM of 2 Numbers?
Dalek
Dave
27-Mar-12 6:27am
View
Please explain how that works?
You need Exactly 1 number, ok easy.
You need Exactly 2 lowercase, again, simple.
You state No Uppercase at all, no problem
You require Zero special character, child's play.
You want it between 8 and 16 characters - er... what the hell are you putting in there?
You cannot have zero upper case, 1 number and 2 lower case with no special characters.
Perhaps you are not asking your question clearly enough.

If you read what I say you will see what to do.
Put the first bit of code in your header section, the second in body, (or in the form etc), it is really rather easy to do.

You didn't give a lot of information, or any code.
How the hell are we to know what you want exactly?
I am not psychic.
And what do you mean about the "Address for this Question"?
Please explain.
I am trying to help, but you are making it hard.

We are about to knock up three units in The Drive, Rickmansworth.
Proably going to be 6 or seven bedrooms, all on suite.
They will have triple garage and a small cinema, one with a stable.
Probably going to sell for £1.5M or thereabouts.
Are you still interested?

It was working before my problems, but after I re-windowed it wasn't working.
I checked all the paths, they were good.
I checked the FTP call in the batch file and that seemed good.
Stumped!
Then all of a sudden it occured to me that the problem was that the users directory was mark read only.
Why?
It certainly shouldn't be.
Oh well, I unclicked and bingo, it worked perfectly well again.
Bloody Microsoft.
