I feel like I've just been flamed.
I think I understand OOP very well, it is obvious that I did not explain my problem so well.
The existing code is not beyond fix, as you suggested. It works, looking for a quicker/simpler way of adding additional functionality.
Thanks, but I not sure your reply deserves a 5

Thanks for help, pointed me in the right direction. T-SQL not the strongest string in my bow and the Rank function is a new one for me. By the way, SQL does not like filtering the the Rnk column, but I've worked around that. Thanks again.

Yes it is possible. You would need to tell us what you trying to do and what language your problem is written in. Also be aware that x64 Windows operating systems do not support the embedding of VBScript into programs.

Judging by the question, I would assume that this is a student's homework question, in which case the PrintDGV module would not be suitable (unless, of cause he is allowed to plagiarize other peoples work)

The answer is valid. In your codebehind you will need to execute the insert and select statements as 1 transacrion. You could write a stored procedure to accept the values to insert and return the id

What DB are you using e.g. Access, SQL Server? Is the Id field sequencial? If so SELECT MAX(Id) FROM Table but has room for error.

And what would you like us to say? Have you tried Googling C# GPS?
