decent answer, you can do the trick a little more elegantly using
var inputs = $(':input', GRID);
then looping over inputs
and you have an unused variable being set that isn't even needed...

It's not clear to me what your trying to do. could you clarify..?. .. o.k. SO I opened up the two folders you sent me in Compare++ (folder diff mode)
and it says that your content folders are the same.
there are 2 files which are not the same.
Game1.cs (yours):
<pre lang="cs">new PPPointLight(new Vector3(0, 1000, -1000), Color.White * .85f, 2000000),
new PPPointLight(new Vector3(0, 1000, 1000), Color.White * .85f, 2000000),</pre>
theirs:
<pre lang="cs">new PPPointLight(new Vector3(0, 1000, -1000), Color.White * .85f, 20000),
new PPPointLight(new Vector3(0, 1000, 1000), Color.White * .85f, 20000),</pre>
note that your setting the 20000
00
vs 20000
and you've added in your Draw(:
<pre lang="cs">// For reach compatibility
GraphicsDevice.SamplerStates[0] = SamplerState.AnisotropicClamp;</pre>
in PrelightingRenderer.cs:
yours:
<pre lang="cs">void drawDepthNormalMap()
{
// Set the render targets to 'slots' 1 and 2
graphicsDevice.SetRenderTargets(normalTarg);
// Clear the render target to 1 (infinite depth)
graphicsDevice.Clear(Color.White);
// Draw each model with the PPDepthNormal effect
foreach (CModel model in Models)
{
model.CacheEffects();
model.SetModelEffect(depthNormalEffect, false);
model.Draw(Camera.View, Camera.Projection,
((FreeCamera)Camera).Position);
model.RestoreEffects();
}
// Set the render targets to 'slots' 1 and 2
graphicsDevice.SetRenderTargets(depthTarg);
// Clear the render target to 1 (infinite depth)
graphicsDevice.Clear(Color.White);
// Draw each model with the PPDepthNormal effect

{
model.CacheEffects();
model.SetModelEffect(depthNormalEffect, false);
model.Draw(Camera.View, Camera.Projection,
((FreeCamera)Camera).Position);
model.RestoreEffects();
}
// Un-set the render targets
graphicsDevice.SetRenderTargets(null);
}</pre>
theirs:

also Yours:

O.k. so There are a number of clarifications you should make... first roughly what type of data is it? Molecular orbital simulations are very different from population dynamics and bayesian statistical results...
Also what is the context of your situation, are you part of a university (grad school?) because anyone asking you to do this should be providing you with an analysis framework to work from.
there are many types of patterns you could be looking for, and without narrowing your intent and or scope, or having very large computational power you will not very likely find the "perfect" answer here...

It all depends on how your going to be processing it, XSLT, Serialization.. etc......
You could include the path, the URL, Compose the two, it is really more a matter of what the intent is ...

So you have 2 ways to run code that can be executed from off the MACHINE, A) as a WindowsService (code trivial)B) as a handler(ASHX)/service(WCF(REST/SOAP)).. In the case of A: for a call to be made from the intranet webform solution you must access the MACHINE as a user who has execute privileges, which is automatic with IIS/WAS, for all users, but is not possible AFIK to implement a secure everyone implementation of a WIndowsService...(note there are two different services that are being discussed in this post, WindowsService and WebService (in the spirit of WCF))
So yes you can run a WindowsService, but only if you are accessing the MACHINE as the appropriate user, which IIS takes care of for you behind the scenes.. is there a way to do this WITHOUT IIS/WAS?

The problem is making a service endpoint on a server which is exposed to an intranet, where the server CANNOT leverage WAS/IIS, but could potentially use HTTP.sys(?) to expose an *.ashx, *.scv endpoint.
You cannot use a system event log if you cannot get access into the WindowsService that runs the code to do the logging.
This isn't a code question it's a systems architecture/Implementation plan question. the code is trivial.

.. Maybe.. the problem your facing is a matter of program dominance... you would "probably" need to run it in the system tray.. just so you could always get input, but your faced with another problem when it come to interacting with the target program, which may require an additional plugin to interact with your program.

You can use it and it works fine, However I dislike the idea that you need to "treat" each tag, I find it easier to "treat" the entire object once and be done with it... That said if your working with an existing system that uses a lot of attributes, DataContracts is not the way to go and you should use XPath, but I am still a fence sitter in that particular .. um "discussion"...
As I see it..
Xpath Pros:
Very similar to XSLT in nature, with the allowance to look at anything in the document.
Handles Attributes.. WELL.
Xpath Cons:
You need to Parse the document value by value!
DataContract Pros:
You can parse the entire document to populate a class, quickly.
It is supported by WCF, so you can get experience in WCF by practicing DataContracts and their usage.
When the solution or the XML schema change the Data contract handles any changes which need to be made to the XML for you. (lazy initialization basically)
Data contract Cons:
DOES NOT handle attributes well (read at all)...
Can get tricky with namespace and Generics. (Read VERY Tricky)..
There is no go to reason to pick one over the other consistently in all cases, but personally i like the way Serialization is handled using DataContracts, so i try to get that to work and use XPath only when I have to. (hope that doesn't offend)
Tarun, what, if you would be so kind as to share, are your opinions/reasons on this?

Yes and no maybe...
I believe it should be possible to dynamically create an "serializedto" object, and cast it to a known instance of an object, it would be VERY ugly if it was attempted this way, in that you would never really be able to properly debug (if your using the datacontract attribute).. how you would actually do this, would be a "reflection work-around" where you build an object type(structure)(dynamically) at runtime... Now I don't know that this can be done, but It seems like all the stuff is there if someone was brave enough to try to do it...

.. I guess that makes sense, the approach I was using had me thinking that their value actually meant something. So basically at a certain layer of abstraction the string for the enum, is a key in a dictionary like structure which returns the int ....
and as per your base class recommendation, this was how i was dong it, however i had an issue between my data layer (setting unique ID's ) and my code layer (resetting various enums back to start each at 0)... I ended up just moving up a integer type size from byte to ushort... just so i can more easily import the higher value ones, without gobbling up memory(I'm using these effectively as a pointer table to some very low level code, to be used in a genetic-like library)... and each population member has a very large array of these values so just by going from byte to short is a serious decision.. but ya gotta do what ya gotta do...

Normally I would agree with you however the current implementation architecture does not allow for that.(and I'm generating the code for these enumerations from a database.. so they would get REALLY ugly.) currently the enumerations are in the hundreds and this is just test data!
