Very nice functions, i bookmarked this page. Only what you are missing is culture check. Your function will return always first day of week on sunday, in my country week starts at monday. But your functions are really nice and all one needs to implement is a check for culture and calculate difference between current day of week and first day of week (this is what my first line of code does).
