It may be called as distributed computing but I know for sure its also called as N-Tier application. As per your opinion, please tell me how to create distributed application in ASP.Net?

@vinod : I already know layered architecture. I actually want to implement 3 tier application where all layers are running on different computers. In that case, main concern is how these layers interact? I guess, we have to use WCF but is it correct way & how it is achieved?

I managed to achieve same functionality using TempData as follows :

Whenever Search button clicks, I store search parameters in TempData variables as

TempData["srchByUserName"] = searchByUserName;
TempData["srchByUploadDate"] = searchByUploadDate;
TempData["currentPageIndex"] = currentPageIndex;

In Delete action, after reading these values use Keep() method to preserve values as :

TempData.Keep("srchByUserName");
TempData.Keep("srchByUploadDate");
TempData.Keep("currentPageIndex");

But the next problem is that whenever i delete records from other than 1st page, I redirect to 1st page.
I want that after deleting record from 2nd page, only 2nd page will get refreshed.

Really sorry, but i can't understand what you are trying to say. I m new to javascript dev.
I don't use any grid instead used html table element for rendering grid. Any other way to achieve the same.

@NaibedyaKar - I am not using webgrid for displaying records. So this approach is not applicable in my case.
Please suggest alternative solution.

Above solution works only if UploadDate (which is DateTime column) has Time equals to 00:00:00.000.
How to modify above to works only on date part ignoring time part.

@Maciej Los - As I already told I made sample applications using EF & SP with default paging but drawback of this is that every time I moved to next page whole set of data retrieves from DB & then paging is performed on client. I don't want whole data every time, but i want only 100 records to be fetched from DB for that page & when user changes page, only respective 100 records needs to retrieve from DB & displayed on view.

I already download Web Platform Installer 5.0 from link provided, but cant find ASP.NET & Web Tools 2013.1 from that. I only see ASP.NET & Web Tools 2012.2 wich is released on 4/29/2013. Can u pls inform anything I am missing......

3) DataTable readersDataTable = DataService.GetReadersFromId(this.Id).Tables[0];
// returns DataTable with 2 columns ReaderId and ReaderName of course with some records.

Now I want to obtain those records from readersList where ReaderId not present in readersDataTable using LINQ.

For my simplicity, i create comma separated string of ReaderIds to achieve SQL Similar functionality ==> SELECT * FROM Readers where ReaderId NOT IN @ReaderIds.

Hi All, shortly i have GridView with CheckBox and Two TextBox columns. My requirement
1) When header checkbox in GridView is selected, all checkbox in column will be checked and textbox will be enabled and vice versa.

Let me clear my concept about ‘currently active component’. Currently active component means any component which has focus, mouse pointer in it and having writable area eg Notepad, MS Word, TextBox etc etc. Basically I want to implement functionality like barcode reader. When barcode is scanned, it will display value in active component if it has writable area. If browser window is active & it doesn’t have writable area then it will display nothing.
Hope I have cleared all doubts.
