What is Ids of both record these are already inserted in your database table? These rows ids should be 1 and 2 respectively.

Please check your Identity seed and Identity increment value for id field and (is Identity) should be Yes. How could you insert 0 (zero) in your table already?

Your first listbox is populating on selected index of dropdown so are you sure you are getting all items on click of image button. I think first listbox is lossing its items and not getting these items for second listbox.

Its working on my end please add this code in a new separate application and test it. I think you are mixing some thing on code behind on page load. Please debug your code.can you please paste your code?

I defined it class level because you can get next value of sequence from seed. Suppose you define it in a function then each function call it creates a new instance and it uses same seed value for each instance so your series will be same. but you want to generate random number sequence then I create it class level so each time you use first created instance and then get new value. If you can create a parameteries random number that deppends on time then you can create inside function after than you can also get a different series of number.

in sort each independent random number instance gives same random number when it creates each time.

Why are you trying with MVC2 that has ASPX view engine you should go with MVC3/MVC4/MVC5 with razor view engine. That has easy to development.

your connection string should be under configuration tag. can you paste your web.config file?

Your connection string should be <configuration> section as a root.There <connectionstrings> tag has captial "S" of String in connectionStrings

This solution is working because you have modified your sql query that assigned in string variable strQuery. If you would use same sql query in solution one than that solution will be work for you. Thanks

Have you run this query in Sql Query Editor in SSMS and it is returning data from database table? If it does not return any result set then we get empty table.
