I am a game developer interested in developing next-generation game engines for even more futuristic games. I am training myself in C++ but I want to learn about DirectX 10, so if anyone knows anything about that, then reply to any of my posts. I love computing and have been in IT for almost 7 years (from mid May 1999) I have interests in Science, Physics and Technology as my mains. I love to play chess in my spare time and I love gaming and watching some of the great movies released. I want to see more games with a thick storyline that involves the player being immersed heavily in a gaming experience with a good plot also and great action that goes beside the plot and storyline, however I think the storyline should come first. Mix Half-Life 2's story with Doom 3's immersion and general scariness and you have an immediate success that would probably be viewed as a big seller. I am currently working on a game idea and storyline to be sent to the talented guys at id Software ( it'll keep John Carmack content with some of my ideas! ) that is set in the 24th century where you have previously worked as a special forces tactical operations officer and have been hired at NASA as an engineer, where they are currently working on a futuristic, plasma-powered space station that is taking you and many other scientists and researchers to the moon to mine for Helium-3 to be able to power Earth and the NASA facilities. When up on the moon, you come up with an idea on how to master the development of a teleportation device (by means of containing dark matter within a gravitational and magnetic field that is heated to superhot temperatures and powered with electricity direct from the Helium-3 supplies. You are given several different mini-missions before, later, going through the teleporter which malfunctions and you later discover you are within another dimension! Most of the action begins here where you start battling aliens (unnamed at this stage) and hell breaks loose.
