I went from a terrible workplace with cool products to consultancy, an almost good workplace with dull projects and career prospects.

Well, now I'm back in a product company and while the end product is as plain as it can be the company looks good and the environment is easily the best I've been in.

I have four rules:
1) Company paid time is for company work, personal time is for personal work or leisure.
2) If it's not written down I decline any responsibility for misunderstandings, missing / bad features or simple forgetfulness. Write it down or try your luck.
3) No coworkers on personal social media. Coworker != Friend.
4) Pay = Time * Productiveness. If you never increase my pay I will compensate.

I'm a university student with a passion for stunning UI design and flawless code.

I fell in love with computers when I was 10 years old, and today I am fluent in C#, Python, Java, Javascript, HTML5, and CSS3. I know a little MATLAB, PHP, and SQL.

In my spare time, I build all sorts of cool things, like this Rubik's Cube Robot.

Away from the keyboard, I enjoy quality time with friends and family, as well as reading, painting, playing the piano, teaching chess & karate, and volunteering within my community.

I have learnt that success comes through hard work and dedication, and that giving back to the same people and communities that have helped me is both important and very rewarding.

I have been writing software since 1969 and having fun doing it. I have The Knack. I have cooked bacon naked. I have worked in academia and the energy business for a little over 30 years. They have retired me now but I still enjoy writing code and trying to keep up to date. I have programmed in close to 100 languages. My current favorite is C++. My current platforms are Windows and linux. My favorite color is blue. I have never owned an umbrella. My sneezes are a registered avalanche hazard with the Colorado Ski Patrol. Women have swooned at my ability to recite digits of Pi.
