I am an engineer (BSAAE and MSME) who came to programming via being educated at the wrong time. I've tried to do mostly technical programming over the years to compensate for missing "real engineering". I'm currently trying to play retired and hang out a lot lately with the robot community in Silicon Valley. C++ is a real programming language and C# and Java are proprietary toys.

Still in same job, still in same country.

I seem to know slightly more, which is good on the whole.
Despite my day job I am web designing, (ASP.NET now), still writing VB and VBA, but that is because of a boss who can only just understand VB and keeping my feet wet with C#.
Set up a business, still early days and enjoyable.
