Hello Hans!
Downloaded it, tried it and... everything is as before... I mean... all the basic settings are ok, IP, network, status... printer gives proper feedback to the computer...
I can't access to anywhere to fix things... realign, clean... strange behavior...
Need this toolbox software...

If it was my printer, I guess I would give it a good cleaning inside and try to replace toner cartridge (even if current cartridge is not empty).

It sounds like an internal problem with the printer, Joan. The fuser may be bad, or some other major module inside. I believe there's a diagnostic you can run from the front panel that will display a number for any faults it detects; that may be your best bet. The symptoms you describe don't indicate a network problem.

Not necessarily! I've replaced the fuser assembly on our HP LJ4700n a couple of times, and they're not expensive compared to a new printer. If the self test spits out a number, you can find information online about the failure. If that doesn't work, a few minutes on the phone or in an online chat with support can help to isolate the problem. I'd at least try to get an expert diagnosis and pricing for parts before shopping for a major item like this.

Hi All,
I have created a VM of Win xp by using VM Ware, but I am unable to access pendrive in it. So how to enable pendrive in that VM. I have tried by googling. It said that I need enable it by using Device Manager and Regedit. I tried both the options. The options that stated in the example are not there in my Device Manager and Registries both.
The Virtual Machine is showing some USBs but their names are like Bios and some other mother board item names, I dont know what those USBs are for but they are not accessing the my Pendrive data.
Can anybody please help me how to enable USB drive in my Virtual Machine

This probably won't help, but some programs (especially some MS ones) require the key to be created manually.

Could you instead move the files on your USB drive to your hard drive, then access that from your VM?

Even if I move to my hard drive I cant access because VM runs on a different memory location which would not give access to host OS unless its connected through a network.
The best way is to either use USB or copy one by one to CD or DVD then copy that data from DVD to VM, which I am doing now since morning  , very time consuming. If there is any way to copy from Pendrive to VM that would be better and easier.
If anybody know please help me buddies, it would be appreciated. I googled it but not finding anything, anybody already know it, please me yaar.

my vmplayer picks up flashdrives automatically but you can try going to the setings for you vm, hardware and "add" then look for your drive in the list that comes up.

I'm surprised that the VM you are using does not let you access a shared drive/folder on the host computer?

nope, but he said vm ware. it normally does do that.
Ive run it a number of times on various machines. which is why i was surprised to hear his wouldn't.

Oh, wait, you said VMware. Well, here are instructions for Microsoft Virtual PC, maybe it'll be similar:
The way to access a USB flash drive in the physical PC from the virtual PC requires that Virtual Machine Additions be installed in the virtual machine. You only need to do this once per virtual machine. In the Microsoft Virtual PC window select Action | Install or Update Virtual Machine Additions.
Once the Additions are installed in the Virtual PC, go to Edit | Settings | Shared Folders and click Share Folder...
Browse to the drive (or directory) you wish to access from inside the Virtual PC and click OK.
You should then see the drive in the Virtual PC's drive list.

While installtion tt is saying that USB connection is disables, after installing please check in Micorsoft Management Console, whats is meant by this. Please can any body expain me.
Does it help me in enabling the USB drive?

I have never had trouble with VM ware 7. What version do you have?
ALso have tyou tried the 'add device' through the VM image settings menu item? Perhaps you need to explicitely add the USb device there?

I was just kidding, sorry if it hurts you. The issue is resolved by installing the VM Ware tools. I am able to copy from host to the VM and VM to the host. It solves the problems. Thanks for asking buddy.

I am not 100% if this is in the right place...
I want to start making small robots using the Lego Robotics "toys", but I dont know where to start.
Googling has helped a bit however they talk about chip-boards and other stuff which makes life confusing as I do not know where to start!
I think the questions I am asking is:
1: What robot controller (circuit-board) do I need
2: Anything else apart from Lego to make it work?

You can do a lot of basic stuff with just the Lego Mindstorm or equivalent and your computer.
I got one for my son years ago. Think of it like an erector set that you can program
once you get it built.
If you want to do advanced hardware/software projects then you will need to do some of your
own circuitry and such but learn the basics first then move on.

Weeeeeeeeell,
First of all, if you want to go on with Lego (nice option to start) then you should not need anything else than the items you can get from them (Mindstorms).
Then,
you can go to more pro items:
Maxon motors[^].
Pololu[^].
Microchip[^].
All those vendors can help you to get nice results...
With Pololu and Microchip you will be able to program using C... which is nice as you won't be learning the language basics and moreover you'll get a nice language to play with...

Hi,
Yester day I needed to remove pen drive abruptly without ejecting it properly from an old laptop. After that when I tried to access files from the pendrive it is not showing any thing. Then I made the OS files as visible from "Folder options" menu. Then I was able to see some incorrect folders named as "$RECYCLE.BIN" and "System Volume XXX". What could have happened here and how can I get my data back. Is it because of any Virus or because of removing the pendrive abruptly. I ran anti virus as well but didnt workout. Then when I tried to run attrib command with some switches as mentioned in some link it was saying that Drive G: (the drive for pen drive) is not accessible.
If anybody knows any sort of information please help me in this. I am also searching the sites. Please help me that data is very important for me.

You should try and have Windows check the device. Open Explorer, right click the device, Properties, Tools, should get you there. You may or may not get (most of) what you want.
In general, USB sticks can be run in two modes:
- the slower one, which allows removal as soon as the device is idle (LED not flashing);
- the faster one, which requires you to use the "Safely Remove Device Now" tool.
You can choose through some dialog, also hidden under the device Properties somewhere.
