I know there is a way using PHP to controll content to display on a specific day at a specific time. I dont need to access any kind of database. I just need a way to display hidden content on a page on a specific day and time. Please help me. I am not the best with C#, so I need the simplest code possible. Please help me. Thanks.

To set a control to appear at midday on the 30th of October:

Here is what I have currently in PHP. I need to create the same function in C#. The code loops and displays specific content until it hits the specified date and the it will display that conent. Anyways you will see what I am talking about below. Thanks for all the help..--peace

There are ways to do it inline like this but I would advise forgetting the way you used to do things (scripting) and thinking in terms of .NET.

In short, you can have two <asp:label ...%gt; tags and write the code you want (your two tables) into the labels "Text" properties.

eg.

<asp:label id="lblBeforeTime" runat="server">
All this week, Monday through Firday, your chance at $100 at the following times:
6:30am, 7:30am, 8:30am
</asp:label>

Then add code to your Page_Load saying

// Note: the format of the DateTime constructor here is
// DateTime(year, month, day, hour, min, sec, millisec)
if (DateTime.Now < new DateTime(2002, 9, 27, 0, 0, 0, 0))
	lblAfterTime.Visible = false;
else
	lblBeforeTime.Visible = false;

Does this make sense? Are you using VS.NET or hand-coding?

Hi,

we have a web app developer under c# that, sometimes, fails to create the screen the way it should.
After debuging the code, we could find it to be the DB_E_ABORTLIMITREACHED exception being thrown.
What I need to know is what can be the cause of this exception? How can i isolate it (find what is the problem)? We just found it to be happening on some clients on the Fill method of the DataAdapter (after turning TRACE on, we saw that the Fill method was taking up to 32 seconds to return, and then came the exception).

We noticed that sometimes the code works fine, sometimes it return a Timeout expired message.

I still have a hunch about a casting problem somewhere, or perhaps increase your SQL timeout in the connection string, sorry my SQL knowledge is a bit scary Smile | :)

According to OleDbErr.h, DB_E_ABORTLIMITREACHED is returned when "Execution stopped because a resource limit was reached. No results were returned."

So something you are doing in your DataAdapter is taking up all the resources available.

Not much help, but you might be able to figure out whats going on from that.

Hi,

I'm a newbie to C# programming and .NET framework.
I have the following q's

1. Can i send the SOAP/HTTP request to apache server
(apache doesnt host a web service(in this case)

2. I need to extract the SOAP message by the extension module (i have written for apache) and forward it to my Appserver?

All i need is a way to send SOAP request to Apache which should be processed by the extension module.

I tried using C# client with configuration options of the client as follows (there is no .NET server)

A panel class derives from System.Windows.Forms.ScrollableControl and, as such, exposes methods such like SetDisplayRectLocation(x,y) to move programmatically a scrollbar.
The panel WndProc also manages standard WM_HSCROLL(0x0114) and WM_VSCROLL(0x0115) messages sent because of interaction : you may in turn create such messages to move the current position.

I've built a C# FolderTreeView control, and uploaded it here: http://www.codeproject.com/useritems/FolderTreeView.asp[^]

As stated in the known limitations, I cannot figure out how to get a Shell32.FolderItem of the Shell32.ShellSpecialFolderConstants.ssfDESKTOP constant. What this means is that although my control works great (well, does for me Smile | :)

it cannot start at the Desktop like Windows Explorer does Frown | :(

Can anyone help?

In fact, comparing to Windows Explorer, what the tree control is missing is the actual Explorer namespaces.
Fortunately, they are easy to lookup. See this article[^].

In short, default namespaces (MyComputer, MyDocuments, Recyclebin, network neighbourhood, Internet Explorer, and Control panel) are all accessed through this registry scheme :

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Software
  Microsoft
   Windows
    CurrentVersion
     Explorer
      Virtual Folder Name
       Namespace
        {Extension CLSID}

I'm a begginner, and have zero experience with anything other than C# and .NET.
