I believe the memory holding the pixel data is DWORD aligned. So wouldnt you just do:

#define ALIGN(val)((val + 3) & ~3)
DWORD iSize = (sizeof(RGBTRIPLE) * bitmapData.width);
iSize = ALIGN(iSize);


Am I right?
