I got "Profile" and "Reputation" at one point. Obviously wrong letter counts. "Username" just didn't click for some reason.
I also hadn't seen that you posted a hint until just now.
Well done for going 3 days unsolved. A couple of stinkers in there where you were really pushing the rules, but nothing that I could really argue as invalid.... perhaps just... pure evil

A few days back, I was encouraging people to watch the rerun of Total Wipeout. Having seen the first 10 minutes, (that's all I could watch!) of the first episode on Saturday, I'm back to tell you: don't watch it. The BBC have TOTALLY RUINED it.
In replacing Richard Hammond & Amanda Byram, with Freddie Flintoff & Paddy McGuinness, the BBC have managed to achieve the almost impossible. They have turned a very funny game show into something that is embarrassing and painful to watch. Just like they did with Top Gear!

Oh, when you said "rerun" before I thought you meant repeating old episodes. Didn't realise they were new ones.
Not that I would have watched them anyway, I rarely watch "live" TV. Netflix or Prime are my only sources for watching stuff.

Yes, they are repeating old episodes. But they've been hacked to remove Richard Hammond & Amanda Byram. Replaced by Freddie Flintoff & Paddy McGuinness doing a, (very amateurish and unfunny) voice-over. Truly appalling.

Yesterday I posted this The Lounge[^]
Well I connected the laptop to external monitor via VGA and Saw that after Power On, It goes into blue screen of death
SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION dxgkrnl.sys failure
Many attempts to go into safe mode or whatever has failed. Its just too adamant and Don't know what happens after it restarts.
So Did I move forward one step or backward. Was Happy to see atleast some screen but then it was more frustrating.

It's worth trying a restore disk, but ... that's an indication that your graphics hardware may have failed (which would explain your lack of a picture at all).
I'd suspect that it's probably new lappie time, I'm afraid.

Yeah, Its not a big deal to buy new one. But I would prefer to buy as choice and not as a compulsion. .
My aim is to not bow down to Laptop. I want to make it work and then show it a middle finger and buy new one. Am I too cynical?

My biggest issue is if I can retain the advancement in various games level I have been playing via steam. I don't want to start from Level 0.

Not necessarily. If the games are online multiplayer, then yes. But if the games are individual with offline modus, might be a yes but there is a chance of NO too.

I don't use it myself, but I thought the whole point of Steam is that everything is stored (or at least replicated) online. That is, you could blow away your OS, reinstall, provide your credentials to Steam, and it would figure everything else on its own, from your profile to your game ownership to your saved progress.
Of course that's always been one of my objections to such systems. I'd much rather own some media that I can reinstall from, than re-download tens of gigabytes worth of data.
Yeah, I'm old-school in that way...

I would say that there are still games that save progress locally (i.e. TombRaider 2 or Deponia)
You don't need to buy them again, and you can reinstall them after formats or new devices without a problem, but that doesn't mean that you play in their servers.

For sure.
The only online game I play is GTA Online. It was installed from DVD (although I understand you can get it through Steam), and the game nags you if it can't reach the servers while playing, but tells you your progress is being saved locally nonetheless and will be resynchronized as soon as it can reach them again.
I've seen it warn me plenty of times that it couldn't reach the servers, but I have zero reason to believe I've ever lost any progress.

But you say, GTA Online, all online games have that, specially the multiplayers, but solo games that allow to play with steam offline... not sure about the MUST synchronize.
I had to restart Deponia after an image reinstauration.
Might have been an error on my side, though.
