Nope
Unless there is a way to embed YouTube videos without the <object> tag

Not to my knowledge. Not to worry then. I don't know if you have looked at SMIL[^] at all, but it might be worth considering? It should allow simple videos while being more secure then Flash...
Anyway, thanks for the help!

If your article has gone through the editor process, you can't modify the original text. What you need to do is send your updates through to the CP team (along with details of the article that they relate to), and they update it for you.

Fredrik Bornander has written a very very interesting article and code (WPF 3D Tab Carousel):
http://www.codeproject.com/KB/tabs/WPF3DTabCarousel.aspx
But... then some user voted 1:
http://www.codeproject.com/Messages/3322091/My-vote-of-1.aspx
The user didn't even offer a reason. The message's body was a single character: "-"
So, Fredrik's article was depreciated for absolutely no reason. I don't think it's fair. It's an outright vandalism. But the damage has already been done. Does CP have a policy, to take action in such cases?

As soon as a couple (5?) of people click the "vote to remove message" button, the message and its associated vote get removed, restoring things to normal. The same twat downvoted my recent article, but he got what he deserved. And I reported him in the sug&bug forum.

The Schmock, and all his messages and votes have been removed. All is back to normal now.

We do indeed take action. Thanks for bringing this to our attention, and thanks to Luc for helping out.

I add my Technical Blogs from my blog. It works but the blog's catalog is Uncategorised Technical Blogs » General. I wish to change this catalog. How can I do it?

You should have a Modify link in the upper right hand corner from your blog once it is approved. Then you should be able to move it. But if you want to let me know what section you want it I'd be happy to move it there for you as well

I already did a quick hack of wp files to have my blog conform to "Technical Blogging" at CodeProject.com:
I inserted one line in wp-inludes/feed-rss2.php
...
...
<?php do_action('rss2_head'); ?>
<?php while( have_posts()) : the_post(); ?>
<category>CodeProject</category>
<item>
...
The other file to change was wp-content/themes/win7blog/footer.php. I added one line at the end of the file to include a link to CodeProject blog:
...
<a href="http://www.codeproject.com/script/Articles/BlogFeedList.aspx?amid=hjgode"
rel="tag">CodeProject</a>
</p>
</div>
</div><!-- #wrapper .hfeed -->
<?php wp_footer(); ?>
You have to replace win7blog with the name of your wp theme in use.
Hopefully one finds a better solution
Regards
Josef

Actually this quick hack is one of the few successful attempts I've seen at modifying a Wordpress RSS feed.
What version of Wordpress are you using?
Thanks,

I have some better solution:
I use the changes mentionend and additionally, I use a new category CodeProject and limit the Technical Blog Feed by using a 'hidden' RSS feature (see also http://wordpress-as-cms.com/permalinks/hidden-feeds-categories-tags-authors-search-terms-links/[^]) of wordpress to feed only posts with category CodeProject:
"http://www.hjgode.de/wp/category/codeproject/feed/"
So I can adjust which Posts are feed to my Technical Blog at CodeProject.
Better solution?
regards
Josef

Hi
I have made the below article post to code project via my technical blog, but as it was taking more than 24 hours to be approved to publish in codeproject, I thought of deleting it and repost from my blog again, but seems this is not working, so can you do the necessary to make the below article of mine appear in codeproject as normal article?
