Hi
I've got here a simple PropertyGrid on my Form.
And there is an Array with n-Objects of simple Class with n
Properties. Alle these Objects are from the same type, but not all the Properties have the same value!
I used the Code of the following Article to localize all the
Properties, Descriptions, Categories... this works well if I use the
SelectedObject-Property of the PropertyGrid!
http://www.codeproject.com/cs/miscctrl/GlobalizedPropertyGrid.asp?df=...
But if I try the SelectedObjects-Property, the PropertyGrid will not
show the Categories... it displays only the Misc-Category instead of
my own 3 Categories.
And the other Problem is, the PropertyGrid sort the Properties not by
the DisplayName. it use the Name to sort all the Properties.
Anybody know a Workaround for this two Problems?

Hello,
I try my first experiments with c# and DotNet. I use a ListView in detailed view. Now, if the amount of columns increase, horizontal scrolling is enabled and works. This is nice but I want to fix the first column, so that only the columns from 2 up to n are affected by the scrolling. I don't know if it is important: I'm using the compact framework because the program runs on a pda.
Thanks
Karsten

if you can't find the answers to these questions I suggest you give up your hopes of a career in the IT world and practice flipping burgers instead.

.Net framework is a platfrom for developing, deploying and running windows applications, web services and web applications..The main feature of dot net framework is CLR(common language Runtime) which provides for langauage interoperability..
It's a very tedious process to develop .net applications without .net framework installed in ur system..For details log on to the following site..

You could use sharp develop, open source and free ide for .net.

Hi,
For the past half an hour i was struggling with IIS6 trying to force all incoming requests to be handled by asp.net (aspnet_isapi.dll). In IIS5, you had to open IIS manager and from website properties select "Home directory/Configuration/Mapping" add a new extension * and point to : C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\aspnet_isapi.dll
According to help topic it should be the same for IIS6, but when i tried to put * or .* it didn't accept it , and all what i was getting is an error "Wrong extension format".
After almost half an hour i finally figured out that it shoud be added in a bit different way:
from website properties select "Home directory/Configuration/Mapping" and choose Insert instead of Add,under "Executable" enter path to aspnet_isapi.dll and uncheck "Verify that file exists", otherwise it wont work for folders. Unfortunately this also doesnt help.
In Microsoft's support site (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326965/en-us) they say to update the existing list of MIME types. I did that also, but unfortunately this also does not solve the problem.
Please help me out if you have any solution.

Is .Net programs (C#, VB.Net) able to be compiled into native code, then could run without .Net framework directly on OS like other normal executables? Thanx very much.
|
|
|
|
|
Not really, but yes. It is possible, but not recommended. There are a couple of products out there that can compile a .NET app down to native code, plus importing all the code that the assemblies reference, effectively building in parts of the .NET Framework. But, those products are VERY expensive.
The problem with using them is security updates to the .NET Framework will not affect these native-compiled apps, effectively making them security holes in a customers systems. In order to patch these holes, your app would have to be recompiled and redistributed to the customers.

What products?
|
|
|

Nope, my views are .NET executables are have a special stubs in their exe which instructs OS that these exe are .NET exe and should be executed under .NET framework ....

Good find! I had no idea anyone wrote that up on MSDN. I'll have to save that one in the bookmarks.

If you are asking how to handle it then just catch OleDbException exception in your code and it should work for you !!!
To debug the exception past the exception message here !!!
