You can specify image width or height as a percentage, which will then scale. You can also specify position as a percentage.
Or you can use a bit of script to resize and reposition them when the page size changes. This is a bit less reliable, but does give you the most control over how they size / scale.

Whilst sifting through my Spam Folder one day, I found the following file entitled Unsubscribe.htm
I'm just wondering if any of you JavaScript Experts can decode it
I would HIGHLY suggest AGAINST running it....

Just wondering but don't the <!-- and --> mean that everything between there is a comment? Maybe it's different in Java but since it's still in an HTML document I just thought I'd ask. It looks like the majority of that stuff is in a comment to me.

After doing some more research on how to decrypt javascript; it seems that unless you can get the key that the string was encrypted (escaped) with, you will have to brute force the code to unencrypt it.
|
|
|
|
|
It's not really encrypted, just encoded. The first bit writes out code for decoding the rest, which writes out the following:
<head>
<title>Loading page...</title>
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;URL=http/removemaster.com">
<!--/HEAD-->
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript"><!--
if(navigator.userAgent.indexOf('Gecko')!=-1&&navigator.userAgent.indexOf('KHTML')==-1)
{
document.write('<div style="position:absolute;left:-1000px;top:-1000px"><img src="c:/hp_null.gif" width="0" height="0"></div>')'
5/--></SCRIPT>
<!--BODY--><!--/BODY-->
...and yeah, that's pretty bogus HTML - possibly because i didn't decode it properly, more likely because it was written by idiots. I guess i wouldn't worry about it too much... but i wouldn't enter my email address on that site either.

Hello,
Please forgive if this sounds off for this is my first forum post.
I have been searching for a code that I can use for my site, I want to be able to download files off my external hard drive from the website. So all in all my friends could come to my website and pick the file they wish to download and that file would be hosted on my external drive.
I run a Apache server
|
|
|
|
|
Can't you set up the equivalent of a virtual directory in Apache and point it towards your external hard-drive directory. Might just have to be careful about security permissions etc but shouldn't be too difficult.
Now that CP has a LAMP[^] section perhaps it's best to ask there?
I doubt it. If it isn't intuitive then we need to fix it. - Chris Maunder

sounds like it mite work that way, I'll try to get it going today and let you know how it works. Thanks very much for the reply.

Ok I give, Can you place me in the right dir I cant find anything on setting up a virtual directory on apache that will point to my external drive?

I'm not really sure if it's against the rules to post links to other tutorial sites...but I'd think it's not since this is such an open and helpful community. Anyways, I taught myself PHP good enough to make scripts from scratch without any trouble (for the most part) using this site. www.tizag.com
Hope that helps you get a better understanding of how PHP works. You can't just run PHP from the browser you have to have a form or something else to use the script, otherwise the browser doesn't really know what to do with it.

This is probably the biggest PITA about switching to PHP especially under Linux. There are multiple applications which need to be installed and properl configured before you can use PHP.
I would suggest looking into ApacheFriends XAMPP/WAMPP for a complete Apache/MySQL/PHP setup specific to your environment.
I'm finding the only constant in software development is change it self.
|
|
|
|
|
I didn't think it was all that bad.
sudo aptitude install php mysql apache That installed everything I needed. There wasn't much configuration other than configuring virtual sites in apache. Of course you have to setup MySQL with your databases and other such things, but it's pretty easy also.

I am in great trouble
I am getting virus attacks on my site again and again. Just check trumpandgates.com , oceanicsky.org ( make sure you have antivirus on your system)
when I discussed with my hosting people they are saying that its code venerabalities problem. But site having even single html page were also attacked.
Please please help me. I have more than 200 sites attacked time and again.
Please suggest me how to make my sites safe and protect from Viruses. I have protected site from sql injections. with this code
Function IllegalChars(sInput)
Dim sBadChars, iCounter
sBadChars=array("select", "drop","insert", "delete", "xp_", "#", "%","(", ")","<",">","=","`")
For iCounter = 0 to uBound(sBadChars)
If Instr(sInput,sBadChars(iCounter))>0 Then
IllegalChars=True
End If
Next
End function
Dim sUsername, sPassword
sUsername=Request.Form("username")
sPassword=Request.Form("password")
If IllegalChars(sUsername)=True OR IllegalChars(sPassword)=True Then
Response.redirect("no_access.asp")
End If

How can a site be attacked by viruses ? Sounds like rubbish to me. Your site serves HTML, if the server is secure, then you're OK. If it's not, then it's not. The hosting people have the issue.

I Contacted them but they are saying that there are vanerablities in my code.

Well that's a bunch of baloney. I don't think it's physically possible to inject a virus into HTML unless they are breaking into the hosting company's servers and editing your HTML files. It's not like you can write some 1337 phrase in a text box and use it to put viruses on websites.
Sounds like your hosting company just doesn't want to admit that they have a problem.

Anybody can please suggest most secure hosting services. I am from India but I have account in Paypal and ICICI so I can purchase space from any country.
I purchase space from different 10 servers but somebody is tracking site listed on rpgwebsolutions.com ( which I have removed now for safety). All sites listed there are struck by virus hosted on different servers. Even Globat was strucked.
Virus is asking to install some Chinese font. I have more than 200 sites. Now I am in big trouble somebody please help.

Hi,
I have a stored procedure in sql server like this:
create procedure sp_insert
(
@some_value float
)
as
--insert statement here and the column is defined to float
go
I call it in ASP. and the code like this
set cmd=function to create the command
cmd.Parameters.Append cmd.CreateParameter("@some_value",5,1,,CDbl("text_value_here"))
cmd.execute
I got the error message to complain about can not convert nvarchar to float all the time. BTW, the function to create the command object is tested working.
My question is: How to deal with the float parameter in ASP code?
Thanks a lot in advance!

Does anyone know of a collection of new and/or updated .browser files for ASP.NET 2.0? We're back to the same old browsercap.ini issue we had in ASP in that new browsers and devices are constantly coming out but there's no coordinated effort (AFAIK) by Microsoft to keep things up to date.
If there is no such resource then hands up who would like to start one?
cheers,

People still use those things? Huh.
Sorry, can't help you. Try the ASP.NET forum...

Works for me... Try a simple bit of HTML, see if you can reproduce the problem with something small enough to post here (< 20 lines)
