I am using asp:fileupload control in .net 2.0. I am using following line of code to get the filepath.
string filePath = uplCSV.PostedFile.FileName;
In IE, i am getting the expected output, something like this "C:\Documents and Settings\nrawat\Desktop\Sample CSVs\test.csv"
whereas in Mozilla, i am getting output as "test.csv". Can anybody help me in getting the same output with mozilla also? I have googled a lot but couldn't find the solution. Thanx in advance.

My first thought would be that you'd installed the wrong version, or you're only seeing the commonly used items and need to expand the menu.

I installed the same version (VS2005 Professional)
It used to show the open create options for projects & websites, but not anymore
This has nothing to do with menus, its in the Start page under the recently open projects, what does your shows??
Im sure it show the option to open create projects & websites

There can be following reason.
1. Document Size.
2. Check the Document Library Permission. What type of files its allows to upload.
Hope this will helps you.

Hello everyone,
In my project,I have a master page which is applied to almost all the other aspx pages.On some of the pages I have used Update Panels.I want to display a Loading image whenever any page is opened or any button on the page is clicked(i.e. on every postback). Hence,I placed an UpdateProgress control on Master Page ,then I put the ContentPlaceHolder inside an UpdatePanel(say, UP1) and set AssociatedUpdatePanelProperty to UP1.But it works only when first time I try to login into the site,after that it doesn't work at all,for any postback.
Any idea why is it behaving like this?
Please give some suggestions to make it work for all the postbacks.
Thank You.

there may be the problem of multiple script managers in master page as well as the content page.
Try using ScriptManagerProxy in content pages. If this was not your problem, let me know

Hey, thanx for the reply,but it din't work.
Any other suggestion???
What might be the possibility that updateProgress is not working on page load,any idea???

I have an asp:Menu on a master page and for one of the menuItems navigation url I can use 'javascript:myfunction()' to call a javascript function in the master page. No problem. Now, what I need to do is use that same master page asp:menu menuItem to call a javascript function in the content page. Does anyone know how I can call a javascript function located in the content page from the master page using an asp:Menu menuItem navigation url located on the master page?
Thanks,
Steve

There is no such thing as a content or master page on the client, just a page. If you output script to call the method, and it's there, then it will be called.

I have a detailsview showing data from 2 tables. One of the data fields in the detailsview is a link for another page.
The link is created using <a id=.. runat=server target="_blank>..etc
In the Page_Load, I am using code like -
DetailsViewRow row = dvParams.Rows[0];<br />
tbox = (TextBox)(row.FindControl("txtEqpID"));<br />
anchorSpEquipment = (HtmlAnchor)(row.FindControl("lnkSpEquipment"));<br />
anchorSpEquipment.HRef = "....."<br />
It works fine but if edit-update/cancel is clicked, the link goes away, leaving only the text. So, I put the same code above in the detailsview PreRender event handler and it started to work fine.
But to edit this field(in edit mode), I have a dropdown list with values populated from another table in the database. To do that - I needed to put code in the PreRenderagain.
As soon as I did that, the previous code is giving me null reference on the HtmlAnchor object. I tried to move the code in other EventHandlers like ModeChanging,ItemCommand - but everywhere it does the same...even in the Page_load if I move it outside of the !Page.IsPostBack, it gives the error.
Any ideas? Thanks.

I tried that as well - and it's giving me the same error.
Is there any other way?
Thanks.

I got it figured out, thanks Christian.
I did this: in the DataBound event handler, to filter the exception - I used if:
<br />
if (dvParams.CurrentMode != DetailsViewMode.Edit)<br />
{<br />
DetailsViewRow row = dvParams.Rows[0];<br />
tbox = (TextBox)(row.FindControl("txtEqpID"));<br />
HtmlAnchor anchorSpEquipment = (HtmlAnchor)(row.FindControl("lnkSpEquipment"));<br />
anchorSpEquipment.HRef = "~/EquipmentDetails.aspx?Station=" + stationID + "&ColType=" + collType + "&Param=" + paramID + "&ID=" + tbox.Text;<br />
}<br />

I've been trying to create a simple method to update iframe content via a mix of asp.net and javascript. I can set a meta refresh, but that makes for a lot of traffic. I had created an aspx page that loaded into a hidden iframe (which did a meta refresh every 60 sec). This aspx would connect to a database and check for updated content, a "yes" or "no" in a table field. If "yes" then it would spit out some javascript code to reload the appropriate iFrame. But, there seems to be a couple of problem with this in that, one, the hidden aspx doesn't seem to load or execute but once. The other is that the javascript code isn't reloading the appropriate iframe.
I would think this approach should work. I probably don't have it coded correctly. But, what I want to ask was if this method is a reasonable approach? Is there a better way of doing content updates without a lot of overhead code loading into the browser?
Thanks

If you want the page to refresh itself, a js timer is the only way to do that. If only part of the page refreshes, you can use AJAX to make requests for that data.

The only code that could do this, is URL rewriting. Look at HTTP handlers.

Can you send me any code?

No, I can't. I know that ASP.NET as it's typically used, plainly can't change a URL. URL rewriting can, and I know where to look for that info in ASP.NET. That's why my reply was tentative. I've not done it, I just know enough about ASP.NET to know where I'd look, so I gave you some keywords to type into google. Good luck.
