Perhaps the link to the excel sheet is pointing to a local system directory. Verify it.

ya it is pointing to local system dirctory,
bt my requirement is like dis only,it has to
open in my system and also in client side

Then you should point the excel sheet link to the server folder...
<asp:HyperLink NavigateUrl="~/somefolder/mysheet.xls" .... >
so that it opens on every system. remember "~" denotes you web application name.

If your [web project] or [virtual directory] name is sts_project then simply provide url as
<asp;hyperlink navigateurl="~/dispatchtemp.xls" id="hlXls" runat="server" text="Excelsheet">
I hope this works fine for you...

Like original server control, they have their own properties visible on 'Properties windows' (buttom-right of IDE).
How can i add my own attributes & events for my user control and make them visible on 'Properties windows'?
Thank
=)

[Browsable(true)] - add this attribute to your property and [Description("xyz")] for displaying information about property.

It didn't work for event.How to applied it?
this is my code..
public delegate void LoginClickEventHandler(object sender, LoginEventArgs le);
[Description("my simple description"), Browsable(true), Category("Events")]
public event LoginClickEventHandler LoginClick;
public class LoginEventArgs : EventArgs
{
...
}
|
|
|
|
|
[Description("my simple description")]
[Browsable(true)]
[Category("Events")]
public event LoginClickEventHandler LoginClick;
Check whether you previous one is compiling properly if not use the above code.

I really thank for your help, but i'm sorry to say that it didn't work for 'Events' properties pages.I've already tried it but in Properties windows it didn't show an Events tab (which icon is a yellow thunderbolt).
Why?
thank =)

For webcontrol you can define custom events but they cannot be displayed in properties window.

Might not be possible. Print option depends on the browser, and not ASP.NET. It prints whatever content in the page. If you want to print entire row, you have to show it.

Then open a new window, there bind gridview without paging and simply print that page. It is the most common way to accomplish the task.

i want to design a custom gridview control that i can simply add to my toolbox which will enable me to simply drag and drop it on my webpage and set any specified properties that i created. can anyone point me to where i can find out how to do this?

If you create a gridview derived class, it will appear in your toolbar.,
