Getting apk size big after creating application in android

Hi,
Whenever m developing an android application m getting an apk with big size.This happens even m creating simple application with only single image.Can anybody help to how to solve this problem. :(

Help with what? We have no idea what you mean by big in this context.

I have worked several years with Android Eclipse/Netbeans and the size of the .apk grows considerably when we use images with big size in kb, try using .jpg and .png.

The size of the images is the most frequent cause of a big size .apk

so, whats the size of your "single image"?.
