I am trying to call an organization but it leads me directly to a phone directly. Now I have to keep calling in order to get an answer. I also need to input the extension to get the person I need. Is there a way I can write a script to make this for me? Sometimes I need to call up to 30 times in a day and I would love to have a program that would alert me if someone answers.

What I have tried:

I have not tried any code. This is my first attempt in trying to find another solution.

Do you have a programmable phone system?

No, I have a regular phone service but if you can recommend anything, I will give it a shot. I am honestly asking for the first initial step that I should take.

It sounds like you're trying to get in on the robocaller game, which is full of scammers and telemarketers. I doubt anyone here is eager enough to add another player to that game to help you do that!

Many DSL access devices can be controlled remotely using the TR-069 protocol. For example, you can use an ESP8266 to establish SSH connections via WLAN to dial numbers or perform connection diagnostics. There are many instructions how to connect e.g. a doorbell with the telephone system.
Hints to the TR064 protocol can also be found here:
