Hi
I have an IFrame element with src attribute set to the url of an ASP page..
this I want this IFrame to be resized so all the text in the asp page can appear WITHOUT scroll bars ..
I there a way to do this ?

When I set Scrolling = no the frame does not expand to fit the containded page.

If i'm understanding you right u want the to resize when the page is updated to the width & height of the new page?
One way you can do this is to get the width/height of all the objects displayed within the page and then work out the total. You might not be able to do it so well with JavaScript but VBScript will return more info, this also depends on the browser u r using.

Unfortuanately you cannot. They are pretty strict about letting you fiddle with the file input to stop dodgy okes from sniping files off your machine. Why they won't let you style it I am not so sure.
You can modify the textbox portion of it, but not the button.

Actually, I lie. You can, to a degree. background-color for instance does not work on the button bit but border does. Bit of pot luck.

Hi Paul,
I just found a dirty way to do this. I put a normal button, a textbox and a file input field. Then put some java script and managed to call the file input's click event from the button's click event, so when I clicked the button the open dialog box would appear, and it worked!. Then the getting the text in to the text box from file input was easy. Now I can do what ever the decorations to the poor button

It's a set of parameters. For example, here on CP the bit that says forumid=1640 in the address bar is indicating to the asp page user_reply.asp that we want to use the forum 1640 (which is Web Development). The ? symbol indicates the start of the parameters, the & symbol is used to separate parameters, and = separates the name of a parameter from it's value.
Some pages (like what you describe) only need one parameter, so sometimes just the value is passed in after the ?.
In ASP.NET, see Request.QueryString for starters on how to retrieve this information.
Otherwise, see the reference manuals for the web tools you are using. If you're using straight HTML, then you're probably out of luck

Is it possible to create a Visual Studio .Net (act-ly VS.Net 2003 EE) Web Application project from existing ASP web site?
Currenly I've managed to build such a project, it even runs as Web Application, but all .asp files are included with build action 'Content' and integrated debugger does not work on breakpoints, only handles exceptions...

 PLs help me !! Below is full code of my project.The problem is I got 14pages(I set 1 page 20 recordset.)And User will click on the checkbox and when he submit then I will send two value to other asp page.In the first page,everything ok.user can check the checkbox n click submit.But the problem is user click one checkbox at 1st page then he go to second or third or last page and check other checkbox and click submit ,I can only get the last checkbox value(which means if user check the checkbox at page 3 and click submit ..I can only get the page 3 checkbox vale and lost all other checkox value !) SO,how can I get all the checkbox value that user click and checked all over the pages !Thanks !!

I dont know if u can rememner the checkboxes clicked in the preious pages without the 'session' or 'cookies'...... which are not guaranteed to be open in all browsers...

I'm not sure but I think most DOM elements support onmouseover, onmouseout, onmousemove, etc...

I have written menu (HTML) which works fine, which implies that user can hover the mouse and see all the available options. (i.e. File – New, Save as ..) For some reason I also have a Select object (Combo Box). (Bug in HTML that you can not change the Z-index of a Select object) Now if user hover the mouse on any menu item, the Select object is top of selection of that menu item’s selection and user can not see that. Is there any way so that I can change Z-index of Select object (Combo Box), so we could able to see the selection from menu?

I have a Select object (Combo box) which is just under the menu bar. When my mouse hover the menu a drop down menu shows up, this is correct behavior. The Select object always has high precedence, so my menu items show beneath Select object (Combo box). My real question was to bring menu item above the Select object (Combo box). There must be a way. Try in HTML file any two objects, where one of them should be Select object. Try to change the z-order. You just can not.
