Mom-and-pop shops, maybe, but grocery chains around here tend to hire whoever's willing to work for (barely-above) minimum wage. This is the result.

Other than that people are people which mean that normal distributions follow. So most of them do the job in an average way. Some are much better. Some are much worse.
One hopes that for some jobs like heart surgeon and bomb disposal expert that there is more focus than some other jobs but even those in some way are going to follow the normal distribution.

I run Ubuntu both 18.04 and 22.04 without any problem. Normally I stick to LTS versions to avoid hassle.
