When I was working in Bahrain, I bought myself a Rolex Oyster. When I came to live in Cyprus, the strap broke, so I took it to the local Rolex agent to get a new strap. They quoted Cy£200, or about $400. I told them to stuff it, and I would take that Cy£200 elsewhere and buy a better watch with it. The replacement was a Seiko Kinetic. This was in 1995, and I am still wearing that watch today. The strapless Rolex has sat in my bedside cabinet for 27 years. The only annoyance with the Seiko is that it gains about a second a month.

How about a FitBit or similar? Watch plus exercise monitoring features.
I’ve given up trying to be calm. However, I am open to feeling slightly less agitated.

My wife uses those things, every 6 months or so come the screams (cussing) that it's not working. She buys another one, then comes the screams about having problems setting the thing up (bluetooth issues, etc.). After a week or so troubleshooting, it works and calm is again restored for another 6 months, "these things are great" she claims, I just don't see it.

Is she buying a knockoff? My wife did without consulting me. When her old phone died there was no way to transfer to her new phone. I got her a FitBit Versa 2 (just like the one I've have for 2 years now with no problems) and it works just fine. Mine records more steps than hers when we walk together, I have no idea why.
I could have gotten her the newer model but by getting the exact same model as mine, household tech support is much, MUCH, easier.
I would suggest one of the major brands, FitBit, Apple Watch, and I think Garmin makes one. We are an Android house so FitBit was the better choice for us.

More than likely, I think, not 100% sure, the first couple she bought were FitBit's, then she discovered the cheap one's. I've told her what I thought the cheap stuff, apparently she's a glutton for punishment, hell she puts up with the likes of me, she must be!

Do you play user and install the (really) final uploaded version of your software? I think most of us do. I recently downloaded some virtual server backup software, supports both Microsoft and Vmware (we run a couple of ESXi servers). The seller is a well known Windows backup software company, I see them recommended here. There are free and licensed versions, both Windows and Linux. As per usual, the free version is restricted but it will do the basics and would be a good way to test the waters, so to speak. I liked the idea of running it from a minimal Linux virtual machine, so I downloaded that version. They say that it is supported on Ubuntu 20.04, a little back level. Silly me, I figured that meant minimum level. So, I tried to install it on a Debian 11.5 system.
I should have seen the light when the setup shell script wouldn't run, giving a "substitution error". Loosely interpreted, that means the shebang is screwed up. Really? An install script that won't run? Fixing that led to more errors than I could shake a stick at. Contacting support via email, I graciously pointed out how to fix their script and asked if it would run on Debian (Ubuntu is based on Debian) or anything newer than 20.04. Support responded the next day, with the suggestion to download from "this URL". They had ignored my attachment of the command line session. English was obviously not their native language but they did fine. The download was the same file, with the same result. So, I did the obvious and created a VM with Ubuntu to see if I could run it there. I got it to install, the instructions said to "click on it" to run it. Click on what? There is no GUI, it runs in the browser. Opening the index.html file in Firefox showed a spinney forever. I contacted support again and they asked me to send the log from "C:\program files blah blah". C drive on Linux?
I finally manually started the services, changed some permissions and got it to run in Firefox. It isn't the free version, so it won't run without a license.
Now, I recognize that I reside out in the lunatic fringes where the Linux folks dwell, but why would they bother? Would you put something like that for download on your web site? If you do, why wouldn't you have a support person with some knowledge of Linux? I guess the dumbest part was when I fixed the install script and kept trying. Maybe it was done with lowcode.

In their last update they just messed with the way colors are shown in the OS.
Till today I had windows in dark mode and applications in light mode.
That worked well so far, taskbar and windows menu was dark, and all the other windows were light/clear.
Now, I can't even read the texts as the window background is dark, and texts are also dark...
Oh, and don't let me start with the mouse cursor disappearing every time you hover any textarea... like this message I am writing now...
Ok, rant over, back to work here...

yes, I already use it, and it works great, but I hate when I must shake the mouse because the cursor is not there anymore...

I saw a similar jigsaw puzzle a few weeks ago over on Reddit. The pieces were clear, looked like (acrylic) plexiglass cut with a water jet.
Doesn't look fun.
