I decided to buy an Akura (a stealth helicopter) because ... why not?
And the trade price is $1M less, so I thought I'd do the Doomsday Heist Prep mission which gives you the reduction for the first time.
But ... you have to do those in a open Freemode session, which means all the Griefers get told what you are doing and can come get you.
OK. Look at players list. 26. Gulp.
In, shoot, shoot, run. Get the chopper, back to the facility, done. Less than ten minutes in total ... and nobody even tried to attack me (other than NPC's)!
Maybe GTA V is growing up?
Anyone else noticed this?

Here’s a tip for you if you play GTA on PC. If you have to do anything in a public session, there is a way to kick everyone out of your session so you can do whatever you need unimpeded. Open resource monitor, find the GTA,exe (I usually look for it in the network tab) right click on the exe and select suspend process. Wait about 8 to 10 seconds and then select resume process. This won’t stop people rejoining your session but I find most ppl look for a new session if it’s nearly empty. If you’re using a console, I think interrupting your internet connection for about 10 seconds should achieve the same thing.

I went the extra step and wrote a tray utility that looks for the configured program (gta5.exe in this case) and suspends it for 10 seconds just by double-clicking the tray icon. Works like a champ and it's very quick (alt-tab out of the game, double-click on icon), which is especially handy when you see an Oppressor MK2 coming your way fast and you just know what his intent is...
I wonder if there would be interest here on CP for it. I use it only for GTA, but it's generic enough you can pick any running EXE to suspend for X amount of time.

What I have noticed is that people's interest in the game is waning, so it's not uncommon to find a session where a large portion of players just wanna do their thing and leave others alone.
That being said, I still wouldn't make a blanket statement and claim the griefers have moved on. There's still plenty of those. You don't have to look for very long before finding them.

Aye, I was in a public session on Sunday and there were at least 3 modders and a griefer wreaking havoc with everyone else’s game. Not a great deal has changed imo

Yeah I met a modder as well - nothing too bad, but I parked my Agency SUV outside my Arcade and came back to find a massive pile of SUVs waiting for me. Since one of 'em had landed on it's wheels, I drove that one away instead.
Not as bad as the idiot filling the tuners track with boats while you are trying to drive round it, but ...

I had come up with SLUMBER anagraming around to RUMBLES as the definition of NOISES. Going the other direction hadn't occurred to me until I saw OriginalGriff's response. But, it works that way too. If I hadn't found slumber after a while I would have reversed my thinking to assume SLEEP was the definition. If I had then found RUMBLES I might very well have given the solution of anagraming RUMBLES to SLUMBER as the definition for SLEEP.
So, would you have accepted either answer when you set the clue? Was it intended that way?
