And I love my safe power supply that isn't affected by a blackout for about half an hour... more than enough time to safely shut down everything if the rest of the house really gets dark and silent...

It shouldn't be too hot.
Since the Netherlands has a moderate climate we don't have extreme colds or extreme heats.
Except we now rarely go under 0C and in summer easily go over 35C.
I know very few people who have air conditioning at home, although most offices have it nowadays.
So I don't really care as long as it doesn't get too hot, about 30C max.
Also, there's this outside temperature that's just too hot for the heating to go on, but just too cold to be comfortably warm

Marketing had the room with the windows. I worked in a windowless room. You couldn't even tell if there was a thunderstorm outside.

Had to go with cold and snowy as I don't have to use the air conditioner to cool down my home office (My workstation laptop and the hundreds of electronics in here already serve as furnaces).

Somehow, "I don't care" and "It doesn't matter" sound too much alike to choose. Fortunately, I like sunshine coming in and it is a moot point.

I live in a tropical country, where the seasons are inexistant, and also in a city 2600 m high, so the weather is pretty the same the whole year. Maybe, sometimes, we have a little more rain for few weeks, (like now) and others few more sunny days. The temp is almost the same. 3°~5° Celsius (37°~41° F.)) in the morning (5:00 am) to 17° (62°F.) at noon. In really hot days, 23° (73.4°); in really cool days, twice a year, -3° (26.6°).

I definitely prefer good weather as it lifts my spirits.

I get a lot of productivity gain when temperature is moderate here in Pakistan (south east Asia generally) 25-35 C (77- 95 F). March, April & Nov, Oct are my favorites.
I've selected Sunny and warm though because I literally can't & don't work when temperature goes below 15 for about a month (mid Dec to Mid Jan).

Having Raynaud Syndrome makes things difficult in the winter 
If not for that I'd actually prefer the colder weather for coding, since I'm not missing out on being outside.

I love knowing I don't need to feel guilty about planting myself in front of a compiler.

I had the same first thought. But analyzing my behavior more carefully, I realized that what I see on the other side of the window affects my mood and when the weather is nice (by my standards, that means a big clear blue sky).
When I am in a good mood, my efforts on "give me codez plz", improve.

When the sun is shining, whether warm or cold, there is outdoor work to be done. No time for coding.
When the weather is wet, most outdoor work has to wait and I can sit at my computer and play code.

I am from the UK the weather come 3 of 4 seasons is miserable, hence anything above misery is a bonus, which I believe leads me to high tolerance for indifferent weather.

I like variety, ... I like the weather to cycle and change.
|
|

If I want to code, weather doesn't affect me at all.
But if I am in one of those procrastination days... then sunny (not necessarily warm) outside is like the Apple in Eden
