My main complaint is that I am unsuited to "working from home", so this has been a rather unproductive year.
My wife has been able to stave off cabin fever by getting out and hiking. I can't imagine being cooped up in the Great White North.
(We did visit some snow a couple of times this winter. Arizona is quite diverse)
Our kid has been unaffected; he never leaves his lair anyway.

We had a very mild winter which has been good (I managed to get out on the bike a few times) and bad (the ticks in the forests are going to be terrible this year).

<regional australia=""> What be this pandemic thingy? They lock down the capital cities, close the borders and we see almost no effect except there are no international tourists in the tourist traps. Port Douglas - all the resorts are full, can't hire a car in Cairns. Tis really weird!

I was talking with a couple of mates back home last night and they are pretty relaxed about the whole thing too.
Have a word with ScoMo for me, will ya, and see if we can't get things sorted out a little quicker. I'm out of vegemite and I'm cold. Surely that's grounds for immediate evacuation on compassionate grounds?

ScoMo - I have cluebat around here somewhere, if I wrap some barbed wire around it, apply enthusiastically I may make an impression but he is from marketing so maybe not.
We are in Cairns but enjoy the drive to Port and the markets and restaurants are excellent. I'm not even sure you can mail vegemite, horrible stuff. Winter (dry season) is almost upon us so temps are dropping to 24deg overnight, still the pool is lovely at the height of the day.

To stave off the Covid blues we bought a fixer-upper house 7 months ago. Well we're still in the process of fixer-up and I'm tired of working on the house and want to get back to projects I'm interested in.
Also miss camping, have an RV that hasn't been out all winter.
Got my second shot a couple of weeks ago so I'm good but better half gets her's next week so maybe after that thins will get somewhat back to normal.

Hi Chris, I'm in the UK and pretty much doing what everyone around the globe is doing ( what they're told ) the unsettling feeling I have of late is, I think I'm getting used to isolation ( I'm was / am very much a straight to the pub after work man ) Hopefully there is an end to this chaos in sight.

Here in very south-eastern NY we're opening up . . . slowly. Despite the current 'j'accuse' atmosphere with respect to the governor, he's largely going about his business of an orderly and measured reopening. Mrs. & self have had both shots and in about five days the second shot will have fully ripened in our immune systems - but out of respect for the health of others the partying feeling must be tempered.
Other states are dropping all restrictions and are getting the expected inrush of party-money from the entire country - and then the COVID will have a chance to spread more uniformly when they get back home. I'm rather soured on those states that no longer give a damn: if they're dropping all regulations then COVID must be gone and they don't need any more vaccine . . .
What is everyone else on the globe doing (as they tell you) ? Still in chaos with politicians and businessmen and medical/scientists fighting over what to do with view horizons that are often myopic (especially if they already got their shots).

Here in Brisbane/northern Gold Coast it's almost normal. Roads are busier, but the trains are still about 50% of what they were pre covid.
Every now and then there's a scare when someone has tested positive and has been out in the community. We've been lucky so far that it hasn't caused another outbreak.
There's one laneway I walk through each morning, 4 of the 9 shops have closed. A good sign a new business is set to open there soon.
Overall, I think most people's mood is positive.

I'm in Ohio, USA. I've been working from home for a year now, and frankly don't want to go back to the office. I'm more productive when I can relax, play music without headphones, and talk to my two greyhounds when figuring things out (my version of rubber duck debugging). I go in once or twice a month when I have to bang on real equipment. Sometimes you just can't adequately simulate a 100 foot long printing press.
The past year has been a drag, and not just because of COVID. For me, dental surgery in June that was a bear plus I lost my right eye after a fall in October. Mrs. Wife has health issues that ebb and flow. Aging parents require ever-more attention to keep them safe. I had to ask a guy if he wanted money, drugs, or sex to get my mother an appointment for a COVID vaccination. That process has been a royal bitch so far.
Despite all that, I'm still here. I've had an article in process for months that I need to finish. It's for a desktop WPF app, so I'm a little hesitant about the interest.

Like Piebald I'm not suited for working from home, I'm a procrastinator at heart I'm afraid. So I have deliberately been cutting down on distractions (including CP I'm afraid) to get anything at all done.
I always thought of myself as an introvert, but I'm starting to rethink that now.

I've been mostly WFH since 2012, so that's not made a huge difference to me.
On the other hand, last year I moved 260 miles up the country and got engaged, so my life is significantly different. 
Still working for the same company though - remote working doesn't care where I'm based.

I think things are getting more relaxed here down South. Maybe too much. After waiting a month from shot #2, I went to the gym yesterday. First time in a year. Fewer people and everyone wiping like crazy. I wore a mask (like everyone else), did my workout quickly and left.
Came home and pumped aluminum. 
If you can keep your head while those about you are losing theirs, perhaps you don't understand the situation.

Yep. As a Scout Leader we're also seeing our scouts dealing with this fatigue. I take most of my "video" calls with my camera off. It seems to help me.

I've edited the tags[^] a couple of times, mostly to merge them, fix typos, and delete some that were hardly used. But I didn't see tongue and cheek there when your post prompted me to look. Maybe I'll add buttocks and see how long it survives.
