The acronyms meant that without a google, the comment translated to "They've got something advanced. someone reckons something is too big or heavy, I reckon they'd be better off with something else"
Nah, bugger that - I'm not goggling those two, to try to make the sentence feel that I didn't overspend on it. Remembering of course, that this is the response to a question that asked what a different acronym meant..
That's actually rather funny if you're getting poopy over this, thinking the microsoft jibe to be unfair.

OSOW is Oversize Overweight, I had intended to remove the acronym so that it wouldn't be confusing ... but obviously missed it in my exuberance to post! 
This refers to the business unit the software is for, e.g., internal end user testing.

Some acronyms speed up communication ... if everyone knows what they mean.
I was a contractor at Glaxo-Welcome, and in my first group meeting folks talked about sending and NDA to the FDA (US Food & Drug Administration). I came from Federal government contracting, and NDA meant Non-Disclosure Agreement, an agreement to not reveal business information to 3rd parties. Signing an NDA before starting employment was (and still is) a standard practice.
So ... why would GW send an NDA to the FDA -- it should be the other way around?
I didn't ask, to avoid derailing the meeting, but asked my supervisor right after the meeting.
NDA meant New Drug Application.
Since then, I always clarify acronyms and other terms to ensure everyone knows what they mean!

I think Musk makes the good point that some acronymns are inevitable and useful as you also point out.
But as you also point out the majority of us know an NDA as a non-disclosure agreement.
I do use acronyms myself, a very topical acronym being RNA.
But I do avoid creating new ones in order to abbreviate communication - I find myself frequently asking one particular individual what the acronym he is using means, and it turns out that he makes them up on the spot.
So I tend to agree with Musk that communication is about helping someone understand concepts you are trying to convey rather than a competition where you confound the other person or have in-group terms.

KAS:ST - Hell On Earth[^]
It's been a few weeks since the last SOTW.
I've been busy, mostly with having vacation, but I'm back and ready to listen to some old and new tracks and share them with my loyal fanbase on here
Since I've been gaming a lot in my vacation you may have expected some game soundtrack, but nothing could be further from the truth.
KAS:ST is a techno duo from Paris, France.
They own the Flyance label, which means nothing to me, but apparently they're big shots in their scene.
I had never heard of them until YouTube recommended me this track.
Apparently, this is also one of my cousin's most listened tracks of last year.
Love this track, definitely going to listen more of them!

This takes me back to high school days when all I listened to was Techno. This would have been a welcome addition to break up my countless repeating of The Crystal Method's Legion of Boom album.

Trials of Mana, the remake of the 90's SNES game Seiken Densetsu 3 which was never released outside Japan.
The music got a rework too, but it still sounds pretty nostalgic
I finished it in a week, which left me gameless, so I also started Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, one of my favorite games ever.
I'd been listening to that soundtrack for some time so it seemed logical to start up that game again

Oh, I see Trails of Mana has a Switch release. I may have to check that out, since I'm looking to increase the game library. The Switch sees a lot of Mario Kart and Hades. The only Final Fantasy that every grabbed my attention was 10 on PS2. I liked it enough to keep it.
Isn't listening to game soundtracks dangerous? I love the heck out of Everness' Skyrim and Oblivion soundtracks on YT, but it's a struggle to not fire up the games while listening...

I wouldn't recommend Trials of Mana unless you're intro (retro) JRPG's.
It was a great game for its time (it even has different starts and endings depending on the character you choose), but all in all the gameplay feels a bit outdates.
Very charming game though.

But yeah, it's how I started FFXII this time around (although I listen to FF soundtracks all year around).

If you ever go into business, it's worth noting that "Profit" is not the same as "Income" - you will go bust very quickly if you assume that.
Profit = Income - Outgoings Or at least, until the accountant gets his hands on the figures, anyway!
