I don't get it. I know if I'm doing a good job or not. I know if I'm helping to meet the objectives of my department and/or the whole company. I know if I'm meeting my person objectives, sometimes at odds with the previous, but that's life. Why do people feel the need to have a review, other than that is the sheep thinking that began with grade school?
The only kind of review I've ever found useful is to review the management. And the only question to be asked is: Are they facilitating or hindering my work? If they are hindering, then the followup is "here's how YOU, Dear Manager, could be doing YOUR job better."
