There was an interview a while back with someone from Google who was saying exactly that about Google.
To paraphrase, the point they were making was that they had more money that they knew what to do with and that this was a problem as it means that technical innovations that could be taking place with that cash were not taking place.
Essentially as they had more cash than they knew what to do with, they were just holding onto the cash and not using it within the economy.
They were basically saying that having too much cash leads to stagnation.

Having too much cash can mean that Google isn't using it effectively, but it doesn't mean stagnation for an economy as a whole. This is an economic fallacy perpetuated by Keynes (the "paradox of thrift"). Unless the money is held in a mattress, the bank holding it will lend it out, so someone else will make use of it, and the bank and Google will receive interest.

Methane rain is not exactly habitable. Not even asking if it has a moon or magnetic core.
Life may be more precious than we realize; the Drake equation is missing some variables. We may be the first life.
And there's still no proof that intelligent life exists in the observable universe. We certainly never observed it. And we observe a lot.

We never observed life outside earth; so we looking, and we been looking at any sign - we been sending signals and there's radio-silence in the universe. Point is, we don't know what exactly is required for life to evolve. Earth may be more unique than we imagined.
If we accept we may be the only life at this moment, we might treat it with more respect.

The point is, we keep looking for carbon based life forms, for example. Who says life has to be carbon based? Or we look for signs of water. Who says water has to exist for life to exist?

Other possibilities don't send radio-signals, nor have any other measurable influence on their habitat; so if this other possibility is there, it not intelligent.
