Sounds great except for the fact that if you live somewhere where you don't have Internet, you probably live somewhere where you can't afford Internet. Not to mention having bigger daily life concerns than even having Internet.
I am, however, constantly amazed at pictures of poverty stricken communities and everyone has a cell phone and satellite dishes are commonly seen. Seems to me to be an odd choice of priorities.

Microsoft is teasing the future of its Office UI and design today, and it involves some big changes to the traditional ribbon interface. Sadly, not "removal" of the ribbon interface

OK. These guys no longer have a f***ing clue. The great thing about the old menu system is that I knew the 'task at hand', which was often something quite difficult, but easy to get to through the menu. Their 'task at hand' is usually simple, like inserting emojis with your text. And the difficult 'real task' has been buried under three or more additional clicks and 'memory indirects.' (Because if the screen width changes, the 'icon' is often no longer visible, or where you thought it was.)

I like the ribbon interface. When it first came out I thought it was terrible but then after actually using it I found that I like it much more.

MS is doing a wonderful job in promoting LibreOffice just because they are unable to bring back the classical menu.

Teasing something new.. They undermining the default UI, trying to be the next best thing (and never are).
They are not recognizable in general as part of the normal UI, don't increase production, add costs for the new UI without adding profit, and generally piss me off.
The Office UI is a school-example of bad habits. Over the years it has proven to be a river of idiots, and it keeps proving exactly that. It should be disbanded and all participants fired.
