I was really fortunate, in that I was asymptomatic if I caught it (I lived with someone who had it)

First you need to focus on getting better. Eat as you normally do and don't skip meals because you don't feel like it. Your bodies need the nutrients.

I'll relay what my doc told me the other day (I went in for a migraine skip-work ticket).
'-Apparently most severe reactions are due to the body's own immune system overreacting to the virus, which is why children [i.e. less developed immune system] are rarely badly affected whereas older (even from 20 y/o) adults can have very severe reactions. Kids can still be carriers though so you must still keep them away from grandma/pa. again: I'm just relaying what my doc told me - so can't/wont answer questions or even defend it.
[for my opinion I will add] I still wouldn't take it as a reason to expose kids into danger spots, and, even less: purposely compromise/inhibit one's own immune system.
as to chicken broth: dunno, I'm more a starve-it-out (often-throwup) when sick - sip warm water only.

My grandmother wasn't and she knows best; never heard any doctor contradict her.
You need moisture, salts, and anything else that you can hold down.

From experience; you'd get artificial food into a vein, or the body will cannibalize what is there; even muscles, including the heart.
Any docter will tell you the same; water, minerals. You can survive on that far longer than you expect. She needs the same; doesn't have to like it, just as long as she tries.
If she fails too oft, call the hospital. I've no reason to lie to you. Drink some broth tomorrow; if you puke, try small sips again after four hours. Your body needs resources now, as does hers. You also need warmth. Not a grandmother-tale, your physician will agree.
Force her, blame me. Ask your docter if you doubt me (which you should).

Well, I do. Chickensoup is a cure-all since ages; it has water, protein, vitamins and minerals, easily accessible for the bodies digestive thingy. It is light and more easily to digest than pudding. If you prone to puking, then some liquid with the same saltiness as your blood (and without large pieces) is the easier thing for the body to absorb. You don't try anything else until that stays down.

IF your stomach can handle chicken broth and you want to relax the troath; milk with honey and mint. Eucalyptus would be preffered, but normal households don't have that. Honey will form a protective (anti bacterial) layer, and minth opens the lungs. Other herbs may do similar.
If you can hold it down, warm a plate of warm milk with the same, and add some with bread into the milk. It will taste horrible, but it contains all your body needs for a few weeks.
Ask your doctor; if things bad enough that you request MY advice, then it IS time to see a doctor. If you cannot answer someone with a complete sentence without gasping for air, then skip the doctor and go to the hospital. Don't argue there; tell them to call me if there's a doubt, and I'll "gently" explain the situation.

When I said "mine" I actually meant "my neighbour's" because he has (a) a bigger lawn, and (b) some heavy earth moving equipment because he's currently digging out his basement. It's win win for everyone. Except him, of course, but he's easily paid off in beer.

Deal with this just like the flu and you will be fine.
You have no control over your body or her body to fight this off if it become worse; which of course, I hope and trust is not the case.
Remember COVID-19 is rarely dangerous to most people, and is just like a really bad flu at worse for most people.
