And I want to ignore the news that the company that makes the machine this part is for is threatening to sue them. Yes, it's a medical device and so technically they're on the hook for the part failing, but time to keep the lawyers on a short leash for a little while IMO.

The people who sue the company for having endangered (and perhaps killed) their family members through negligence will win enough in damages that they'll be able to help out with a couple of hundred million for court costs.

The article provides evidence that a people who doesn't understand plurality errors or the correct use of em and en dashes[^] are also dumb enough to think that allowing microsoft to run forced automatic updates is a good thing.
