Microsoft classifies a multitude of program categories as PUAs such as apps that would use your device to mine cryptocurrency, to display ads, promotions, or survey prompts, or that have poor industry reputation. Would that include WordPad, which purportedly will be pushing users to buy Word?

Anyway, they are only ugly if you make them ugly as with all applications - especially those written for the various webby-style environments such as anything on apple or many websites that think that wasting space so that you have to have a huge HD screen just to see all the information is a good thing!

Yes, it's an abbreviation for F*ing ugly.
Too many WinForms apps on high DPI displays scale badly, causing ridiculously small text displays. Later GUI technologies have adapted to automatically scale, but I've had to use bits of software that are almost unreadable.

I think they should go back to what they are good... that's stealing data.
