Ah - the FireFox version that no longer uses Gecko.

If you search for "*" in the .NET Framework forum, the second result is a Korean spam message that was deleted last week:

A lot seems to depend on what people actually voted on it - so if there were sufficient different votes, it would show 13 votes but they aren't all necessarily 13 plagiarize votes.

What is the new "Popular" star on the posts, I mean, what is the algorithm for that (Maths free, please! Laugh | :laugh:

Also, Chris, I think that your profile and the blog under it can be a good place to broadcast any new features. When I wanted to get to know of this "Popular" thing, I visited your profile page, didn't find so I thought I may ask the question and provide a suggestion here.

May help others to find out new features on the blog, in a much friendly way.

I am talking about the one that is on the forum messages. I am sure that hasn't been around since 5 years. Say, like this message of mine, http://www.codeproject.com/Messages/4881434/So-you-mean-to-say.aspx[^], has a star with it, right next to the subject. That came up recently.

I'm with you. I think Chris is playing a practical joke. I noticed the star recently on a Lounge post and couldn't remember having seen it before. Maybe it's just a very rare occurrence.

An update:

I know I said the popular star has been around forever. However, I realised it just never worked properly. We made a change a few weeks ago that corrected a caching issue that was holding us back from being able to determine popularity for messages in the forums.

I thing I should let Code Project know this problem -

This http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/Shuvo2012#Tip[^] page is showing that 3 votes. But this Win32 GUI Programming In Rust Language[^] page shows 'No votes'. Why? Website BUG or something else?

This problem is appearing to me after the recent design change of Code Project. I mean viewers, downloads and bookmarks are now moved to the left side of the article page.
