I’m currently working on a PHP application and want to know if I can Yii framework for speed and flexibility. Anybody please help me with its features. Is Yii development framework secure?

YII, for no doubt is the fastest, secure and one of the best php frameworks currently in the industry. It has lot of features, I would like to mention some main features here,

I have two classic asp pages on my local machine that I would like to test them by bring each up in a browser from Visual Studio just to test a few links. How can I do this?

You need Visual InterDev which comes with Visual Studio 6  As asp is interpreted you can use any text editor to amend the pages; sublime, notepad++ etc. They might not recognize classic asp syntax features but it's no big deal. Then to test you just navigate to the pages directly in your browser

I have run across this problem many times and Have FINALLY found out what is going on and how to solve it.
In VS 2012 (and probably 2010 and 2013), after you load your web site, right click on the site name (usually something like C:\..\<SITENAME>\) and a large menu appears. Look for "Use IIS Express..." and click on this. Two pop-ups will appear click Yes on the first and OK on the second.
Give it a few seconds and you will then see the site name has changed and the C:\..\ is no longer there. (i.e. C:\..\MySite\ becomes MySite).
If you don't already have a specific page set up to be the default page to run when you run the site from VS, click on the start page, (i.e. index.asp, Default.asp, etc...) and then hit F5 to run the site. It should come right up.
If you try to run the above procedure but you don't see the option "Use IIS Express..." what you might see instead is "Use Visual Studio Development Server". This means you are already set up to run classic asp and your problem is probably your pages.
Things you can try:
Hit Shift-F4 to open the properties page and select Start Options. Click on Use Current Page and then click Okay. Select the simplest/do nothing ASP page you have (or create one), one that doesn't require logging in or getting data from a database but maybe just prints something to the screen using a Response.Write. Once selected, hit F5. If this page works then VS is set up correctly but the problem is with your code.

I am changing some markup and need to make another classic asp page as the start up page from with in IIS. How do I change the classic asp start page from IIS directly?

Open IIS Manager, click on your site, select "Default Document" in the "IIS" section. Add your desired asp page and move it to the top of the list.

I am relatively new to web development with experience in PHP and html, but i have no clue what the reasoning is behind using ASP.NET for web development. I have searched but no luck in finding the main reasoning for this. can any one explain and possibly give me a demo to see why as i have been ask to take over management of a ASP.NET with no idea on how to go about it.

It allows you to run functional code on the server to do things like read data from databases, send emails etc, and do the things that make your site "work" and make it data-driven. One of the advantages of the likes of aspx over php is that the code is compiled into a dll rather than interpreted each time the page runs like with PHP. "Classic ASP" works the same way that PHP does and Microsoft retired that a decade ago.

For me, the answer is because I am a Microsoft developer. Since I already know C# I can learn ASP.Net very quickly. Or I can do SharePoint, or any other Microsoft technology. For me, that's the biggest reason to use it.

I am a student who is completing his graduation on cse. I am interested to make a window in which a 3d model(a character) will perform some action.Is it possible to inset a 3d max or maya model into java project through java code ? if it is the HOW CAN I DO THAT?

Having written a few webpages for the first time I find that in IE11 on Windows 8.1 they load as expected. However using Firefox 36.0.1 on the same machine most of the pages are loaded scrolled to near the bottom of the page.
The pages with some relatively simple comment & reply stuff at the end are the ones that don't load properly. I suspect some of the javascript that opens a form and positions the page for a commenter is the problem.
Edit: Now tracked this to creation, then hiding, of a Form for comments which has
autofocus required<br /> on the first input field. When a user clicks a comment or reply link, my strategy was to append the element .Form to the DIV containing the link and call show on that Form. Can I create the Form in an initially hidden state so the autofocus required doesn't scroll the page down when the page loads?

whats the code to display the uploaded attachment file, like in gmail it shows, after a file is uploaded successfully, when u click on the attachment you have uploaded t should display the file with transparent background. how to do it?? in html prefered

The code is simple, as you display some other file inside your browser. If the file is an image file then you can write it as,
<img src="location/of-new-file.png" alt="file" />
But if the file is in other formats, then you can load their content there or take a snapshot of it; such as with Word documents... You're going to use HTML only, there is no other way out. Web browser only understand HTML to render the elements.
My suggestion to you would be, to first learn programming and then try to compete with other giants; such as Google.
